I had a friend who's 2yr old child had a food cutting set, and I was skeptical of whether my 2 years old daughter would also like it. I picked Melissa and Doug's set b/c their quality is always excellent, and I am again impressed with the craftsmanship and detail of this set. I am also pleasantly surprised to find that of all the expensive electronic gifts my 2 years got for her birthday, this has turned out to be her favorite toy!!!! It keeps her entertained for quite a while, and is great for parent/child play together. I only wish it came with more pieces, as I run out of combinations of sandwiches to make for her (but she definitely doesn't seem to mind, she just keeps cutting!) Excellent for hand-eye and fine motor coordination, educational (verbal, counting, colors, etc) skills, and withstands a significant toddler beating. Also handy to have the storage box for clean-up. I also strongly recommend Melissa and Doug's food cutting set, which makes a nice coordinated set with this one, and increases the educational value and variety (for mommy who seems to get bored more quickly than my daughter!)

What can I say, a great price for a fantastic set. Love all the Melissa & Doug range. They are sturdy and very well made. A cut above the rest. I have brought lots of different Melissa & Doug range for my grandchildren and they always love them. They are such great fun and helps their imagination grow. They last really well some have been passed down to younger siblings and are as perfect as new. Remember to keep the sticky pads clear which is easy to do and the will last a life time. The only thing I can say that is a con, well not really it would just help is that if Melissa & Doug made their sets to have cases to store the items in as it would make it easier to pack away and store. Would buy again

This item is really well made and robust. The items are very realistic, however the metal holder is probably not suitable to very young children depending on the child as it’s heavy and not ideal for children who throw things a lot.

I purchased this for my 2 year old daughter who loves imaginary play. Like other Melissa and Doug toys we own, it comes in an open box. As a parent I find that frustrating, as inevitably the contents get spilled or separated. My little girl loves making us sandwiches with this set. It’s easy for her to stick the Velcro together and she is able to make lots of different combinations thanks to the large number of parts this has. It keeps her occupied for reasonably long periods of time and it’s something she will happily play with independently as well as with me and her dad. My daughter finds it hard to cut through the Velcro herself to ‘slice’ the bread or the bun, but can do it with help. I am aware that she is under the recommended age of 3 years for this toy, so she may find it easier once she is older. Being wood, the set is durable and should stand the test of time, however I was surprised that the finish on a few of the pieces is not as good as I have come to expect from Melissa and Doug. Some of them are slightly rough to the touch and the colours are a bit off – the ham in our set for example is bright orange and looks no different to the cheese! My daughter doesn’t seem to notice though, so I would still recommend this.

My granddaughter has a make believe kitchen and shop, this condiments set is a welcome addition to her ever growing setup. We always get offered something to eat and drink when we visit. The bottles are well made, and very realistic, tip them upside down and it looks like tomato sauce and mustard is coming out, and now we can have sauce with our food. The salt and pepper shakes, and the hot sauce has liquid inside, but nothing comes out of any of it. A great gift idea, for any occasion. We got this for our granddaughters birthday, and will post pictures when she opens it. I’m happy to recommend it.

These are absolutely fantastic! Bought for a Christmas present for my son, he's getting a wooden kitchen for Christmas and I thought these would go brilliantly with it. They came in one of those really annoying plastic cases that you need scissors to get into. I opened it so we don't have that annoyance at Christmas and so I could give everything a good check before he gets his hands on them. They look so real! The salt and pepper shakers I'm most impressed with I think. Very well made, I was shocked at the price to begin with but I can see you get good quality for your money. I'm sure my son will love them.

This set is expensive compared to some other toy food, but as is often the case with toys you get what you pay for! It's a delightful little play set with everything a little one needs to make sandwiches for the whole family. The pieces are chunky, easy to hold, bright and colourful. The velcro is very securely attached and the solid wooden prices are very robust. This set has stood up to hours of play in a way plastic food play sets just haven't. The little wooden crate is great for keeping everything together when not being played with.

Ich bin begeistert von Melissa und Doug 10513. Das Set übertraf meine Erwartungen bei Weitem. Die einzelnen Teile sind mit Klett versehen sodass sie aneinander haften. Die Qualität der einzelnen Holzteile ist super gut. Die Einzelteile sind sehr stabil und gut geeignet für kleine Kinderhände. Ich kann Melissa und Doug nur weiter empfehlen und das mit reinem Gewissen. Besonders hübsch ist, dass das Set auch eine Art Tablett mit sich bringt, in dem die einzelnen Teile sicher aufbewahrt werden können. Ich bin angetan von diesem Spielzeug und würde es wieder kaufen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist einfach genial.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my grandkids who love to pretend they're helping in the kitchen. Based on other Melissa and Doug products I have purchased in the past I'm expecting this to be a high quality gift.

Como siempre, esta marca triunfa! La calidad del producto, como en otras ocasiones es muy buena: madera de buena calidad, lijada con cuidado y pintada con colores primarios que encantan a los peques. Un juguete que parece básico pero da un montón de juego a los niños. Es muy duradero, como todos los juguetes de madera; mucho más sostenible medioambientalmente y mucho más creativo para jugar que las cocinitas de plástico. De buen tamaño para sus manos. Los niños juegan a componer distintos sandwiches una y otra vez. A tener en cuenta: lo veo conveniente a partir de tres años, antes, los niños pueden dañarse con las piezas si las lanzan o se golpean entre ellos. Que la caja incluyese una tapa para su almacenaje se agradecería. Como todo lo de esta marca volvería a comprarlo.
