From the manufacturer Encre Noire a l'Extreme Eau de Parfum Natural Spray ENCRE NOIRE À L’EXTRÊME pushes the original’s olfactory statement to its limits. More powerful, richer and even more voluptuous, the woody intensity of this fragrance reveals a fascinating new side of the Encre Noire man’s personality…manly and sensual. Elegant and sophisticated. Unique and seductive. Between light and shadow exists a new definition of the masculine which describes Encre Noire à l’Extrême. Review: Phenomenal Fragrance - Beautiful fragrance, my personal favourite. It's a creamy, resinous vetiver with some smokiness in the background. Not that sweet at all but milder than it's brothers in the Encre Noire line despite the l'Extreme title. It's one of those scents where every time I sniff the bottle my eyes roll back a little, it's that good. Perfect for the cooler weather, really sets the mood of Autumn. Incredible value for something that costs peanuts compared to designer fragrances of comparable quality. Review: Good God Almighty! - My 'Headline' says it all. This is simply an amazing scent. I now have five men's fragrances that are the 'be all and end all' for me and Lalique Encre Noir a I 'Extreme is number five. It fits so perfectly in with the other four that it might have been ordained. The opening fresh citrus/cypress combination is like a walking through a pine forest with the snow falling. This gives way in rapid order to a woodiness that is akin to walking past a sawmill in the same forest with the scent of fresh saw dust and hint of resin wafting around lightly. The dry down takes a while and adds hints of cedar and orange peel citrus mixed with iris giving a subtle soapiness. The woody notes do not let up, however. Sillage is a perfect balance of strength and longevity (on my skin at any rate). Staying power is a good 8 hours but if in contact with clothing (wool jumpers for example) a good deal longer. This scent is criminally under-priced for its quality but I for one will not be complaining as long as it is readily available. On second thoughts..................................."This scent is rubbish. DON'T BUY IT!" All the more for me :-)

Complex, beautiful, but poor performing
Extremely (no pun intended) good smelling fragrance. It’s warm, spicy, a little sweet (like Christmassy cinnamon) and woody. Very complex and multi-layered. It’s dark but not too dark, mature and decently versatile, but it really shines in the cold and for night time. There’s a bit of bitterness in the opening, but it settles down in under 10 minutes. However, the performance is quite bad. I’ve showered myself in this (20+ sprays) only to find there’s no projection when I leave the house and it’s almost completely gone past 2-3 hours (faint traces left but barely smellable). I’ve had Encre Noir before as well and it had the exact same issue. It doesn’t last on clothes either, so it’s not just my skin. It’s possible that my batch just wasn’t great, but I can’t be sure. It still works really well as an intimate fragrance for a date night with your partner and for keeping your Herman the one-eyed German smelling nice for after the date.

Should be £100. Isn't.
I love it. Woody, a bit smoky, and there's an incense/churchy feel to it as well. Lasts 5-7 hours no problem on skin, longer on clothes. You can read a ton of reviews of this all over the Internet, and they'll give you a load of different scent comparisons - I've read people say its like carrying a Cypress tree all day, and others saying it's like a vampire's coffin, and very gothic. But at the end of the day, if you like a woody, dark scent with incense notes, you'll be on board with this. Personally, it reminds me a bit of Nuit d'Issey, but darker and more complex. I say it again, if it was £100 I wouldn't be surprised or complain, I'd just wear it a bit less. At this price it's a bargain and a gem.

Long lasting scent.
Initial scent is earthy and woody, after it has been on the skin a while it becomes more spicy with citrus overtones. Very unique and definitely long lasting, easily the whole day.

Per me merita 5 stelle.

When I first got this fragrance, I was a bit skeptical—it didn’t quite click with me, so I set it aside. But recently, I gave it another try, and I’m so glad I did. It turns out this scent is perfect for the fall. There’s something about it that pairs beautifully with cooler weather and cozy layers. I’ve only worn it a few times so far, but I can already tell it’s going to become a go-to in my autumn rotation. Sometimes a fragrance just needs the right season to shine—and this one definitely found its moment.

Loved all the batches i've owned. Its one of those clever iterations of a bit woody green citrus , encased in a resinous holy smokiness and is definitely not to the college hero's favourite. You need more age to understand this mystic. Love it, and so for the price, a steal indeed.
