Absolutely marvelous!
I have read all the reviews on this product before ordering it and also I read a lot of information and instructions on how to wax at home (I've been waxing at a beauty salon for 12 years now) and there was one little review by namford that discouraged me in purchasing the kit...thank God for my boyfriend who told me otherwise! let me tell you that namford is quite wrong apparently from my own experience; yes, it takes an hour to heat the soft wax but then again you have one hour to prepare yourself for waxing, after that if you'll set the warmer on level I it will keep it warm all the time you need; if you're careful enough you won't spill any wax on the warmer or on anything else (keep in mind this comes from someone who has never maneuvered such things herself); the soft wax will successfully melt in exactly one hour like the instructions say and if you need some edge to get the excess off the spatula then you can easily use the inner edge of the soft wax plastic container, it won't drip, just get the hand of it!; you don't need to try and transfer the soft wax onto the metal pan, that's a waste of time and it will cause frustration, the plastic container will heat up all the wax just keep in mind to mix it once every 10-15 minutes and when 60 mins pass then just put the warmer on level I heating and you're good to go, no fuss!; the metal pan it's really useful for the hard wax tablets remember to melt just a bit at a time for the areas you need because the hard wax will melt in 10 minutes at level II heating; the wax remover is brilliant, it works on your equipment as well as on your skin if needed, I personally used after wax oil for the sticky bits on my body and it works like a charm; beneath the warmer I put four double rolls of kitchen paper just in case, although I never had a spill; after waxing make sure you leave the warmer, the metal pan and the platic container of soft wax to fully cool and then you can use the solution remover to clean them up; remember if you melted a small amount of hard wax in the pan then it will be really easy to clean and put away; I personally love the packaging and after cleaning everything I just put them in their place and store them in the original way they came, it really is super easy and nice; the quality of the wax if properly melted and maintained at the level I temperature it will be really awesome and won't burn your skin and the hair will be removed with ease from the first application on the selected area, and you can reach the wanted temperature with the guidance of the instructions and the dvd, no worries; personally I ordered another 2 soft wax containers because this wax from Rio really works for me, and I'm a brunette so I guess that says it all :-D finally you won't be left with no hairy wax which will need reheating because all the wax used on your body will be thrown away! Dooh!I am recommending this product for anyone out there that is willing to try waxing at home!Bare in mind that the tricky part is actually studying your body hair and the way it grows so you will know how to apply the wax and how to remove it successfully. I don't recommend having a bath after waxing because the waxed areas are sensitive, this will be explained in the dvd, just use a pre and after waxing oil because you took a bath before waxing. The only item you need to buy separately is the oil, I brought the Hive 400 ml with Frangipani and Monoi Oil 2-in-1 Pre and After Wax Oil and it works like a charm; make sure to make a supply of waxing strips because I used the strips of the kit on my legs and I ordered some more online. I waxed my legs, arms, armpits and, of course, I fully waxed my personal place (that's how I normally wax at the beauty salon) and I'm really pleased with the results.Overall I give this kit a 5 star, really awesome!

Life changing!
Used this product for the first time yesterday and I am so, so pleased with the results. I have been going to a salon for my brazilian wax for years but finally decided that I'd had enough of the indignity that comes with having to pay a stranger to do it. After a lot of research online I decided that doing my own brazilian WAS possible despite all the naysayers who are adamant that it must be done by a professional. I can proudly say the results are as good if not better than previous results from a salon. Mostly due to the fact that I can be as meticulous as I want; I sometimes found that beauticians would not pay enough attention to the more 'inner' areas, perhaps out of awkwardness or just not wanting to make me uncomfortable by getting all up in there. But obviously there's no awkwardness when doing it yourself. Granted it did take me 2 and a half hours but I put a film on and it was fine! I'm sure I'll get quicker the more I do it too. Had one small casualty but again I'll get better with more practice. Overall wasn't too painful at all, just a few areas where the hair may have been too long and so the wax seemed to get stuck and I had to peel from the other direction which did hurt like hell. But again, practice! I liked that there's no need for the strips either with the hard wax, you literally just peel the wax off. Much less fiddly. One thing to note; you do need to switch between the heat settings every so often as the 1 setting does seem to cool the wax down too much. I didn't find this to be too much of a problem though, just turned it up to 2 every 10 minutes or so for 3 to 5 minutes. Overall, this product has changed my life. It's going to save me money and dignity, plus the convenience of being able to do it on my terms whenever I want. Highly recommend!

Keeps temp good, melts other wax well, removes majority of hair
I’ve used it twice now, I used to go to professional waxers so I can only compare it to that. Of course I did not expect it to be a professional piece of equipment, but it actually surprised me. I have tried it first with the hard wax provided with it, on my legs. I saw some bad reviews that it didn’t take out the hair, but people must know that you need to grow your hair at least about 5mm! Now mine on my legs were JUST about that, maybe a tiny bit shorter, and it took out majority of the hair for most strip. I expected it to be more messier, for the wax to not harden properly, stay gooey and for the heater to not keep the wax a constant temperature or not melt properly. NON OF THIS HAPPENED. You need to know the technique of rolling the wax on the stick until there’s no handy gooey bits but it was really easy for me to get the hang of with its own wax. A tiny bit harder with different hard wax beads but still good. It hardens in seconds on the skin, if you leave a larger lip on the bottom of your strip it’s easier to grab. Hard wax worked on my armpit with good result! But don’t do it in one strip maybe in 2 or three. Hard wax worked much much better on my intimate areas for Hollywood wax - exactly as painful as in the salons if ripped off quickly. I can’t really do this for myself as toobpainful to do for self but someone else doing it it’s great results.I’ve done it on my eyebrows too, there are no smaller thinner sticks provided, I snapped the other one in half, worked ok, took most of my hairs - I’m not an expert at doing eyebrows though. The only Not so good thing is the size of the pot. It’s enough for 2 tablets at once, (they provide 3) which you can do both armpits comfortably with, I used 3 for 1 leg on my first try and not all hairs were gone. You need to melt the two tablets, then use it then switch again for number 2 for melting, then back down to 1 when it’s ready to be used so it’s not too hot and doesn’t melt you. It’s a shame the pot is not bigger, and I wanted a digital temp control wax heater before, but this one actually works really well with the temp control - at least for the beads I tried.I haven’t tried the soft wax provided. (But don’t use of intimate areas)Now the cleaning! Most people have problems with this.If you don’t use all the melted wax - just leave it in there to get hard and reheat again. If it’s all used up or only a little left that you don’t need - or if you want to change to a different wax.Best thing to do is get a clean big stick, and get the wax on it like you would for getting the wax out for your skin. Wait for it to get hard on the stick and throw away. Do this until they’re only traces or a thin layer left in the pot. It’s great that the melting pot has a handle and you can take it out so you can get in around the walls to take the wax off. Then get the provided fabric strips! You’re also given a cleaning solution, get a couple of strips nearly soaked in that liquid while the pot is hotish. Fold it in half so you don’t burn your fingers and wipe it all around the inside of the pot until clean. It picks it up really well. Use it for spillages too and your hands. You could also put baking paper around the outside (!!) of the pot if you don’t wanna get the melter sticky.I think overall definitely worth the money.I haven’t come away from the first session super smooth, but after 3 sessions I think it should be good for a few weeks and it will get better if used more.

Conforme
