Eschenfelder 204_282 Seed Sprouter Kit, White Aluminium, 3 x 1000 ml

This is a quality, nicely made, German sprouter, although, admittedly, it is not cheap, but quality never is. I have produced 3 batches of alfalfa, raddish & broccoli, in it, thus far, merely by soaking the seeds for 12 hrs, then rinsing with clean water twice daily. It sits on my kitchen window-cill, and I find it looks attractive and interesting. I’m glad I overcame my initial cost reservations and purchased it. The results are far better than a round, 3 tier, tower system I’ve used in the past, where I often had mould and problems with off, rotting cabbage type, smells, rinsing notwithstanding. I priced a small Mason type jar in Sainsbury’s recently at >£10, and so I consider that the price of this set up is fair, bearing in mind the quality of the ceramic tray and metal parts, which seem to be some kind of alloy (I’m not worried about rust as others seem to be), and that it has been shipped from Germany. The instructions are colourful, on quality paper, and there is adequate English, but, as one might expect, the majority is in German. I recommend it.

The product information describes a ceramic drip tray and the picture on the amazon website shows a white tray. The tray means you can put the system where you want without worrying about water trails whilst the whole thing still looks attractive. Just about worth the high price on that basis. There was no tray in the box and it isn’t pictured on the box it all comes in. So not even sure whether there should be a tray or if all the information when you purchase is incorrect. There only seems to be the option of returning the item.
