You're wasting your time if you continue to search for the perfect nail file. Stop looking and purchase this one. It's the best I've ever used, and I'm 63 years old, so I should know. I have nails that split constantly and this file has eliminated that completely. My nails in general look so much better. I'm thrilled about the results and for the first time ever actually enjoy filing my nails. It's a much smoother filing action than with traditional files. I'm a customer for life, although it says I shouldn't have to purchase another one.

The glass file works ok but the packing was bad - the item was just left in a plastic envelope without bubble wrap. the paper box was damaged and the cover of case was detached from the case, fortunately the glass file was not broken.
