The Best Gerbil Enclosure I've ever seen!
This is the first time I have seen a suitable gerbil enclosure sold with the base and the topper all in one product. The large lower tank provides plenty of space for my gerbil to tunnel through her bedding. The topper provides a firm surface for me to place her food bowl and toys and a good place to attach her water bottle. The bottom section is about 20 gallons, the perfect size for a gerbil. The topper is a tad bit smaller than that, but still plenty of space for her to explore and climb. She figured out the ramps immediately and has been up and down them all morning. The materials and design are excellent. The glass and metal are gerbil-proof. She hasn't been able to chew her way out. I love that the tank is assembled with sturdy metal screws. Even better, a little screwdriver was included for easy assembly. The topper latches on tightly to prevent escapes.Assembly was easy with the video guidance and written instructions. The included grippy gloves were a welcome surprise that made it easy to keep hold of the glass panes. I had the whole thing assembled within the hour even though I'm not much good with tools. If I can assemble this thing, just about anyone can.

Best choice for gerbils
***Update at a couple weeks into purchase: So, my gerbils actually prefer this cage over the other one. They love being able to dig deeper tunnels and seem much happier in this cage than the other. They don’t spend as much time frantically scratching at the walls in this one because they have plenty of room to dig. They also haven’t messed with the plastic liner at the bottom. While I liked the other cage for its ability to reach the gerbils easier when I stick my hands in there, the gerbils are clearly happier in the OIBO. And I was able to push the two mesh pieces together closely enough that the gap hasn’t reopened. I’m not as concerned anymore about it being a safety issue. The spring-loaded clamps on the outside seem to keep the wires from moving too much. I kept the old cage as a daytime playground to transfer the gerbils into when I’m cleaning their OIBO cage, but now that I’ve seen their reaction to both, I guess I don’t need the shallower, wider cage anymore. The OIBO tank seems to keep smells to a minimum because there is less plastic for them to pee on (and to chew on, for that matter.) I’ve upped my rating to 5 stars. Gerbils love it. No issues so far. ****Original review:I bought this after purchasing another very popular cage on the market (see photo, to the right of the OIBO.) The other cage was PERFECT except for the depth. My gerbils like to tunnel, and I felt bad that they didn’t have an aquarium bottom to dig deep into. They were kicking bedding out of the side of the cage, but otherwise loved it. Lots of room for accessories, etc.SO I saw the OIBO cage and thought I would buy it as a replacement. I was hoping it would be even better than the first. Not quite. The aquarium part serves exactly the purpose I wanted: More digging room. The gerbils seem to find it easier to climb the ladders in this cage and like to go up and down repeatedly. The PROBLEM with this cage is the hug gap created by the mesh pieces that sit on top of the tank and provide the floor for the wire part of the cage. Nothing on this cage fits together snugly, so I’m always worried that these two pieces are going to slide apart as shown and squish an inquisitive gerbil. The manufacturer should have made this all one piece. It doesn’t make any sense. Also, the wire bends pretty easily and comes kinda warped until you press on it. Much flimsier than the first cage I bought. I don’t think they should have included the plastic tray for the bottom of the tank, either. Critters are just going to chew on it and maybe try to eat it.All in all, if I could go back and do it again, I wouldn’t buy the OIBO. Not worth the money for such flimsy construction. I’d just buy an aquarium with a one-piece mesh top to go with the cage I already have and love. I spent so much money on the OIBO and don’t feel like packing it back up to return it, so for now, it’s my gerbils’ summer home that they use under my close supervision.

Works and looks good
Was a little unimpressed with the price for what I got but overall, it looks so sleek and modern, and it gives my hamster the space to burrow but also have a place to sit and eat/drink/run. It was slightly thinner than what I was expecting but still works great. Instructions were easy and I got it set up within 30 minutes! I do recommend, I just wish it was a little cheaper for what it is.

Great Cage, Awful Process
The media could not be loaded. The cage is roomy and our boys (two Fancy rats) seem happy. Since rats chew plastic, this cage is great because the wire cage and glass is chew-proof. The bar spacing is perfect for rats, because they can really only get their nose through. The PVC tray seems helpful so far, the boys have not seemed to chew on it and it did not come damaged like other reviews said.I will say though that the process of getting it sucked, as the glass is not protected as much as it probably should be in the packaging. My girlfriend ordered one on her account a week ago and the glass base came broken. I have yet to see a refund, but ordered a second one on my account because we wanted our rats to have a better cage than they did previously. The second one came in perfect condition.I wish the wire cage itself was a little taller, but otherwise it is very big and my rats are enjoying the space to run around, climb and play.I do wish that there was a second access other than the top, but it has seemed to make the rats feel a little safer since we cannot just stick hands in. Their happiness over our convenience. This cage is a little harder to clean than I would like it to be because the you need to take the whole thing apart, but that just means that it is really secure having a cage on top of a tank.10/10, would buy again, have already recommended it to other pet owners.

Probably great for Gerbils, not great as a product though...
So, first of all, glass was cracked in a corner. Not bad enough to return because this isn't an aquarium, but still sad. Second, the plastic liner at the bottom was broken. Again, not enough to return, but I'm taking stars off for poor quality. Third, putting it together and a piece of plastic snapped - cheap plastic, clearly. Now, for the actual design - this set up is clearly perfect for gerbils as it allows you to fill the required 8in of filling at the bottom for all the digging. The bad thing is - it's extremely difficult to then retrieve the gerbils. You have to remove the stairs, remove the topper, slide out the topper floor then get them. So, I would suggest that there are easier ways to get to the bottom of the cage, just like the top.
