Following an upgrade to VIRGIN V6 box, which has no working SCART socket, I realised that I could not connect my fairly old but reliable RF transmitter, which sends the signal to the kitchen TV so I can watch it when I'm in there. Therefore, I had two problems that I did not have before:1) No way to connect the SCART at all2) No way to have a signal sent to both my HDMI TV and the RF transmitter at the same time.So I bought this and a HDMI to SCART convertor, and it works perfectly. It comes with the power lead, so nothing else needed, except perhaps an extra HDMI lead or two, if you need them.NOTE:1) This splitter DUPLICATES the display - I notice some other people think it will 'extend' it e.g. for PC monitors and have marked it down because it doesn't do that. I was under no illusion about that, and importantly for me that was definitely NOT what I wanted. This gives you the SAME output via both HDMI sockets, and works at the same time for both devices (if connected). Useful for my purpose, or incase you want the same image to appear simultaneously on two monitors / TVS e.g. for presentations.2) None of what I have is 3-D or 4K, so I cannot comment on any of those elements.If you want to convert a HDMI output into SCART, I highly recommend this product.PS: This is the HDMI to SCART convertor I bought, works very well too - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01M4INTHT

I bought it and thought that the "best seller" means its a good product, how wrong was I. Absolutely rubbish, it did not work for me. I understand that I might have gotten a dodgy one, but neither the splitter nor the power adapter worked. Tried different power adapters and different gadgets, they were both broken.So very disappointed and annoyed. Went and bought another more expensive one, works fine.

Tested using 15m HDMI as input and 15m HDMI output either side of this, works perfectly no lag or distortion. HDMI IR extender I bought doesn't like it so I will run a separate cable for that.

This HDMI splitter is what you need to split the signal into 2 connections (i.e. SKY Q and TV) to enable conversion to a DVD recorder, You will also need to purchase a (1080P HDMI to AV 3RCA CVBs Composite Video Audio Converter Adapter Support PAL/NTSC for PC Laptop TV Xbox PS3 PS4 VHS VCR Camera DVD) to enable this to work!

Not good at all only transmits stereo sound yet states all of em no 3d as it's not HDMI 1.4 which it states it is no deep colour yet states it's got it an oh wait no HDMI cec which states it can all in all I just wasted 13 to get surround sound as my HDMI out has gone on my amp an this would have worked if it did what it says it can do but good look as this just turns everything basic

Despite being sold as a 4K splitter this product does not have HDCP 2.2 so your sky Q box will not recognise your 4K tv from this device. Probably the reason most people would purchase. Therefor pretty useless

It does the job but unfortunately you loose some of the HDMI features and definitely gets HDCP screwed so ... yeah, not too good.
