Does the job
Needed this to connect the Hollyland Lark M1 Wireless Lavalier Microphone receiver to my iPhone. Given that the lightning connector is on it's way out, buying the iPhone specific set didn't seem to make sence. The cable works with no issues.

The cable works, but might trip up some users.
The cable works as you expect it too. Plug in the lightning cable, plug the 3.5mm connector to your microphone receiver and you will be able to use external microphone in the iPhone Camera app.Where some recent reviews may be getting it wrong is when you are playing back the video, there are two things that can go wrong.1. When you play the video back in the photo app you need to unplug the lightning cable. The iPhone thinks it is a pair of headphones and will route audio through it instead of the speakers.2. When you are playing back a video in the photo app by default it starts muted. You will see an icon in the status bar to unmute it.
