Perfect if you have a bad memory!
Working from home frequently means I often boil the kettle and forget about it, then having to reboil before I eventually make a drink. This kettle is so simple but absolute genius. The water 3 hours later is piping hot, so I'm sure it will stay a good temp for more than 4 hours. It's actually quite slim and doesn't take up a lot of space on the counter. Non spill too.. I tested it to prove I could take it anywhere. 2 year warranty, so whilst I don't expect the vacuum release button to work forever, Im hoping longer than a couple of years. Defo the right kettle for me, and means I can even use it at a table when hosting friends/family to make hot drinks. Shame it doesn't come in fun colours, but a small observation. It's a smart simple design, blends into the kitchen!Won't ever buy another type of kettle.

Good in parts
Does definitely keep the water hot for much longer than a normal kettle, reducing the need to re-boil or speeding up the time to re-boil. No visible element to fur-up, so it should last longer. There is a press button to close off the spout when not pouring, and this means it will not spill if knocked over and helps to retain heat (if you remember to press it after pouring). It is heavier than a normal kettle, and there is no water level indicator, which makes it difficult to estimate how full it is by lifting it up (and taking off the lid to look inside lets the heat out). . Also does not pour as well as the kettles that we have had in the past, and takes longer to boil from a cold start as it is only 1500-1800 w compared with the 2520-3000 w of our old kettle. Good for energy saving, appears to be solidly made, but let down somewhat by poor design in other areas.

good quality product
Bought to save on electricity bill as its a vacuum kettle so water stays hot and doesnt need to boil from cold does exactly that. As I drink lots of tea its ideal , Only shortcoming small capacity 1.5L and if overfilled spits out boiling water quite a bit .Otherwise no hesitation in recommending.Water boiled at 8pm was still warm 8 hrs later so instead 3 mins to boil about 1 min so saves energy .so a greenish in essence.

Poor quality
The media could not be loaded. The concept is great and if it was made well, would result in reducing energy consumption. Sadly it's made in China and like main others have said, it fails almost immediately.Icon on plastic lid rub off within 24 hours. Water leaked out of base on first use.It does keep water hot enough to use for upto 2 hours, not the 4 hours it claims. At 4 hours water is lukewarm. It is not fast to boil which is fine as it was purchased with energy consumption in mind. It pours slowly and is a pain to fill if you don't have a deep sink or high taps.As it didn't last one use it's hard to recommend. An alternative idea is to use a d normal kettle, buy a thermos and pour any excess water into that which will stay hot for upto 8 hours and warm for longer.

Does exactly what it says it will !
I had a different model of this brand kettle (thermal) but the lid had a fault so this was the replacement. Excellent model - much better design and no fault ! Keeps water hot for hours, and the press button allows the kettle to pour, but when closed, insulates the water to keep temp.

Tries hard but design has flaws that loose too much heat
Brought this kettle as it claimed to keep unused water hot. Although better than a standard kettle, the water was appreciably cooler after just an hour. A good flask on the other hand can keep water steaming hot for several hours. Did a bit of investigation using my Thermal camera and spotted several places where the insulation was poor and heat was leaking away. Notably the base was hot to the touch and as the second image shows white hot in the thermal image from underneath. Other notes: quick noisy which was a surprise considering the insulation. The button to open the spout to pour water had a printed symbol saying what it did. within a couple of uses it had mostly worn off. Didn't like that you couldn't see the water level in the kettle, also difficult to judge how much you had put in even if open. So after pouring a cupper, I had no idea how much was left in the kettle and opening it up to see defeated the objective of keeping the heat in. I ended up returning and buying a glass kettle. Although this new kettle didn't insulate the contents, you could judge just enough water to add and not waste energy heating water u weren't going to use, it was much quieter and easier to use.

Innovative but needs extra features
I love the fact its insulated so should be cheaper to run than a normal kettle & eco friendly BUT I feel after using this kettle for 13 months it needs to show you how much water is inside without removing the lid. By removing the lid to check the water levels frequently the heat escapes. We live in a hard water area and it has limescale damage after only 13 months use despite our sink having a water softener fitted plus we always use a brita filter jug to fill it up.I also dislike the button which you depress to open the spout to pour water as visitors who dont know how to use it keep leaving it depressed so steam escapes.

Smart and efficient
I chain-drink hot drinks, and this model is perfect for me. The kettle retains heat very well so there’s less re-boiling needed if I have tea, and sometimes none if I’m on coffee. I’m certain I’m using less electricity. The only slight annoyance is that the white script/markings on the lid have very quickly smudged off.
