Credit where credit's due
I was at my wits end with some stains. Being so busy with little ones I'd found over a space of time several items of clothing that had missed either being pretreated before being washed or had not had the stain effectively removed before tumble drying. I even had a bag of nursery clothing that had been overlooked for several weeks with black mould on the clothing.I have tried everything. I mixed up a paste of bicarb and white vinegar, also my usual go to, Vanish Gold and the Vanish Bar...Stain Devils and also soaking in ACE Bleach. I must admit I'm not the most proactive with stains and could have probably prevented one or two of these stains properly taking hold which annoyed me even more greatly. My wife was disappointed as most of these items were reasonably expensive organic cotton clothing with bright colourings too as well as white panels on two tops. She had read about Violet's Mineral Bleach on a Facebook page and I thought...in for a penny.I was a little taken aback by the price I'll be honest...I'm more a domestos person when it comes to 'bleach'. Obviously it's not the same, but still £15 for one kilo seemed steep. However, if it works...The instructions said to mix two desert spoons with 4 litres of hot water. I'd read some had used boiling water and had been disappointed with fading, so I used hot water from the tap only. This was also going against my usual...treat stains with cold water etc etc...but I dutifully dunked the whole lot in and swirled it around with the handle of a wooden spoon. I left the items to soak for around 2 hours. I'd like to say the stains had gone, but they hadn't...I rubbed and rubbed to no avail. Remember, some of these items had been given up to play clothes only. They'd been washed several times since the original stains and the black mould ones were awful...with the black stains just appearing as vividly. (The mouldy ones weren't used, but they were going to get a treatment just in case). I was losing interest now, as I'd been expecting a miracle of sorts. I placed all the items in the washing machine, with a 90 degree cotton wash, prewash with an hour soaking time and used Fairy Non Bio with a little Mineral bleach sprinkled over the pre and main wash powders. This morning I awoke and have never felt more excited about checking my washing. I took out every item and went over them with a fine tooth comb. Every. Single. Stain. Had. Gone. Every one. Not one stain was left. I am truly smacked of gob. Every single item has been saved and brought back to its former glory. I'm not seeing any fading that I'm aware of...I am delighted. This product is worth its price. I'm just so surprised. Now yes, this was an extreme way to wash your clothing. I wouldn't recommend all these hot washes as I doubt the items would look good for very long, but...in an final ditch effort to save an item of clothing then absolutely 100% give this a go. I am over the moon...cockahoop and so pleased. Sorry to on for so long, but I am so happy with this product and highly, HIGHLY recommend it. Brilliant.

Miracle Product
We have been using Violet's products for years, so I was glad to see that they are now available on Prime for when we need a quick top-up. The Earth-Friendly bleach is a wonderful thing. I started using it to get stains out of my baby's reusable nappies and it worked a treat, so I extended it my regular wash and was amazed at the results. I was able to get four-year-old stains out of clothes that other non-earth-friendly removers wouldn't touch, and it did not fade colours - in fact, it seems to brighten them, and whites look great. It will not, however, get some non-organic stains out, such as ink. The company includes a leaflet with a list of other uses, including getting stains out of teapots and cleaning coffee machines (does a great job). I would add to this list cleaning ovens (mixed with lemon juice or vinegar) and making my butler sink beautiful, white and shiny. We live in a very hard water area, and it also seems to keep our washer nice and clear of limescale! I wouldn't be without it.

Brightens stains
I have an old white resin sink, the surface has worn off over the years and is due for replacing. This product brightens and refreshes my sink without the harsh chemicals used in other products, it does not smell of bleach. I have used it for some years. Lasts a few weeks.

Fantastic, doesn't fade colours
Got a sample of this which I used to remove a stain from a colourful playmat worked so well without fading the colours that I decided to buy a tub for future use. Have now used it to remove a red wine stain from a white tablecloth - worked a treat, stain gone within half an hour!

A staple in our house
My wife uses this to bleach tough stains. Use with an overnight hot soak, then put the clothes in the washing machine on a regular cycle, and stains should come out when dried in the sun. This type of bleach is also kinder to the environment and to the clothes.

Good for the enviroment and animals
The only bleach I use now. Use it all round my house, safe in the fact that it has never been tested on animals and is safe for the enviroment. I really like it.

Disappointing packaging
I have bought this product before for its eco-credentials and it used to come in recycled paper bag. It is now in a solid plastic container which disappointed me greatly as I was buying it to make my house hold more environmentally friendly, not to contribute to plastic pollution. The product itself works better if you hand-wash the stain on your clothes with it, not to just pop it in the washing machine.

Good product
Had this as I am trying to be more enviro friendly with my house cleaning products, it doesn't smell but can used for a variety of things without harming the environment, a product my Gran used to use when she was alive- which I didn't know at the time
