Pretty good!
I haven’t had any DIY bobas before but this one in my opinion is great! The only downside is the recipe calls for only a cup of milk with each packet so of course I added more milk and it did dull the flavor but it’s still good! Still sweet but not as sweet. 4/5 but only because I wish there was more syrup flavoring per cup. I like the bobas the texture is fine to me.

Tasty treat and cheaper than the cafe
My daughter likes Boba milk teas but they are so expensive for what you get. I bought this for my daughter for her birthday and it is honestly better than some of the ones we have had at cafés. It was super simple to make and the boboa was delicious!

Better Boba Than Our Local Asian Restaurants
Just like every corner has Starbucks (or Dunkin’ in my current neighborhood of PA/Jersey), boba shops are everywhere in my hometown of Los Angeles. Now, I have moved to a rural area, there’s no decent place to eat or drink around here. This boba drink is delicious, even better than the ones that our local Asian restaurants serve. It only takes about 30 seconds to make and it costs less than getting at a boba place. I can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less milk. I also like to get different flavors and mix them. My favorite is a mix of taro and pumpkin spice.I usually double it, which makes about a med/lg size drink at a boba place. So, I microwave two boba packs for longer than 15 seconds. Otherwise, I’ll get some “al dente” boba bubbles... which I don't recommend. When I first saw this kit, it was cheaper than getting it at my local store, so I added it to my “subscribe and save” list. But now I just checked and noticed the price went up, so I did take it off my subscription, but I’ll keep an eye on it because I need my boba fix at least once a month or two.

I like it
So far I tried them with regular milk and almond it's good. I don't recommend putting them microwave, they taste chalky when you do. I boil them but I cook them a little longer than the package says.

Meh
It has the taste of taro boba but the boba pearls are all squished together and not eatable to me. But the syrup has the taste of it. If you really like boba for the pearls I wouldn’t really recommend this. But if you like it for the flavor this is great cheap one.

Delicious
I love the taro syrup and would buy just that alone if I could. It tastes like buttered popcorn jelly beans. The boba was obviously packaged for a while and not fresh but it was alright. The paper straw got soggy and useless after five minutes but that’s expected.

Dodgy quality that seems to change based on price
Probably 1/4 or 1/5 boxes had expired, odd tasting boba. More recently, that seemed to be more often. The price fluctuated so much. From $7 to $15 seemingly randomly. My last purchase was 2 boxes, $7 each, very cheap. The boba was horribly expired and sludge like in BOTH boxes.Beware, quality changes by the day and so does the price. It used to be a steady $10 but the price fluctuates like some "daily catch" at a restaurant and often the cheaper price appears to be them trying to clear stock with their defected products.

Easy and Tasty
I ordered the brown sugar boba and it’s a great product! The packaging was sealed on delivery. Instructions were easy to follow on the package. I used almond milk with my drink, a couple of ice and a to-go cup which completed the drink!
