I have been using this for many years and it has never been a cream colour. Maybe you have purchased the wrong one? This is the Highlight Activating Moisturising variety and not the one that actually lightens hair. If in doubt about the product maybe you should contact the company (John Frieda) If it turns out your shampoo/conditioner is bogus I'm sure they can let you know. If this is the case then return the product, as a fake item, to the seller. I do hope that some of this helps. Stay safe 😊

Q: How you you open these pump bottles? Ok I know it’s a pump. But how do I free the pump so it moves? It’s locked at the moment.

I had the same issue, I kept turning it anti clockwise like everyone said. But here is what I had to do. The pump has 3 parts, the base which is screwed onto the bottle, the spout where the shampoo comes out of and a middle part. You have to twist the spout anticlockwise while the middle part is kept still. Then the spout should pop up after a whole turn or so, and you are ready to use :)
