This is like an undercoat to prep your canvases. The instructions state that it needs two coats before it is ready for painting on. This is what I did. It dried really well and you can't tell that you have used it. The acrylic pain goes on smoothly and dries dutifully. The product is like. Thick white paint. It also dries white too. I would but this product again. Thank you

This product is great, covers extremely well, will cover up old canvasses, it dries quickly too, would certainly recommend.

Excellent product, does what it says, dries fast (especially on these hot days) and really good coverage. Definitely recommend.

I bought this Gesso primer to use as a base on LP records, which I paint with acrylics. I have to apply two coats of Gesso but it give a good surface to offer grip to the paint. I have painted more than 20 LPs (if you haven't had a go at using old records I would recommend you give it a try). Of course you could use this Gesso primer as a base on any ordinary canvas or even hardboard I guess. The paint goes on easily and dries in a few hours. I love the texture it provides - it suits my painting style.
