I've heard that this make is tested on animals?

I've just looked on the Simple website and their answer to this question is very vague - QUOTE: "Our parent company Unilever have been leading our industry and investing £3 million a year for the past 7 years on developing alternative non-animal testing methods." They then provide a link to a page on the Unilever website giving details about the sustainable living plan. However, they do state their products are suitable for Vegans and that their range of products are predominantly free of animal derived ingredients with the exception of Hydroxypropyltrimonium Honey which is used in their Simple Rich Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. So, it's all a bit confusing really!

Does this product contain alcohol?

alcohol is not mentioned as alcohol but whether any of the chemicals mentioned are actually alcohol with different names I don't know.

What is the PH of this facewash?

Doesn't say anything about ph balance of the face wash just that it's 100% soap free. No harsh chemicals, no artificial perfume or colour,

Does this get rid of makeup?

No it doesn't. It doesnt have enough soap. I usually use an oil cleanser first then use this to remove the rest.
