Great student instrument
I bought this for my nine year old son who wanted to play the trumpet in band at school. This trumpet is light weight and sturdy. The buttons depress well. I don’t even play the trumpet and understand how it works only on a theoretical level and I was able to make it work. Looks like a great purchase.

sounds ok-best starter trumpet
The sound is better than the metal trumpet i bought for the same price. Easy to play. Easier than the other one. Some of the notes are better than my husband's pro trumpet. Don't expect to get a pro trumpet but it is one of the best starter trumpets at this price point.

Wow! What a cool horn!
They work great and are light weight for young students. I also really like playing with it until the 3rd valve started to stick! I tried to clean it, oil it and it works perfect again! Highly recommended!

Not worth it
After using it for a few days two valves won’t let air through when trying to play it. I will be sending it back.

I'm With Stupid
It's my own fault for buying this - but I had such high hopes that I ignored the very real and consistent negative reviews.This was my most anticipated buy of the year so far, and my greatest disappointment.I'm an intermediate adult player. I wanted this trumpet for travel in my car, for outdoors use, and for otherwise cold or other days where carrying my brass piece would not do.I saw a professional demonstrate the new plastic horns and they sounded great and appeared easy to play.Despite the fact that I hate the horn for its performance, I can attest to the fact that it is easy to blow and easy to play, and sounds fair to good.However, every few seconds a valve would stick, then stick again, and again. I read the reviews about sticking valves and blamed the user. Now I blame the user again, and I'm blaming myself. I have strict form, followed the maker's suggestions and remedies and found the valves continued to stick.I am not a trumpet tech, but I have worked with plastics before. My suggestion is the valves stick due to the moisture blown into the horn - probably wrong but that is my impression.Sent it back with regrets for buying it and more regrets for the valves not working right.

This thing is garbage straight out of the box
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This thing is garbage straight out of the box. It's below the quality of a toy. The valves sick immediately and are incredible flimsy. I'd like to say it's neat as a novelty or gimmick but this is nothing more than a show piece.

Its a plastic trumpet
Don't expect to play amazing Bach sonatas on this, but honestly it works pretty well for what it is, and my teenager thought it was a fun gift. He's teaching himself how to play on it.
