Brilliant staple gun - far superior to cheap no-brands
This is a fantastic staple gun and a breeze to use. I previously bought one of those cheap lower priced staple guns from 3rd party sellers that all look the same with the screw bolt thing on top and it was horrible, a pain to use, so many misfires and stuck staples, difficult, and your hand starts to hurt very quickly. The Tacwise on the other hand is so easy to use, need far less strength to use and can staple on and on with no pain, smooth all the way down as you push it and when it fires it's very powerful and you can increase and decrease the power, and i've had no misfires where the staples get stuck, all came out and hit their target. I've found many random uses and fixed things including a divan bed base which would have gone in the bin otherwise (replaced top old sinking greyboard layer with 6mm Plywood and stapled it down around the edges after raising the central support structures of the bed with 6mm offcuts to even and firm up the divan top as it's going with a new pocket sprung mattress, again, stapled down). If i didn't have the Tacwise staple gun i wouldn't have even thought of doing this and if i did, i would have used small nails which would have taken forever. Fantastic purchase and even though i don't use it regularly, i know it will come in use over the years for a whole host of random jobs as it already has. Be sure to buy some staples, i bought some Tacwise 8mm and 12mm myself and it comes with 200 x 6mm which were very useful for me as well.

Great.
I bought this to replace a cheap staple gun that I'd bought elsewhere. The difference between the two is huge, but the difference in price was not that much so this is far and away a better buy. I wish that I'd got this first. I was using it to attach netting to out wooden fences in the garden. The previous staple gun had struggled with this, the fence wood is very hard and I really struggle to bang nails into it, hence why I wanted to try a staple gun. This one did a brilliant job, the staples went in fine and stayed put too. I'm happy and love my new toy, I'm now looking for other things that I can use it for.

A proper stapler.....!
We've all bought those shiny steel staplers from Q&B and other retailers, and we know they are cheaply made junk. They come in a pack with staples, tacks and 'U' staples, so it looks a bargain, its not. It won't be long before the thing jams up and becomes annoying. STOP BUYING THEM, and buy one of these. Well made, and works properly. OK so it costs a little more, but I bet I'll still be using it in 10 years time.

Worth paying the extra for such a good stapler
After using a cheap staple gun for many years this was so much easier to use, required far less strength than the old one. It does jam occasionally but not as much as the other one. I did get pinched a few times on the palm by the handle when not paying enough attention, which was annoying and painful but otherwise got the jobs done so much quicker and easier.

Great powerful, well-made tool
This is an amazing tool; I have used it for pinning double glazing strips (plastic holders with brushes to make the seal and keep out the draft) into sash windows. I was using the stainless steel staples in order to avoid the rusting that the previous workmen had set up using standard panel pins. To my surprise it went in almost the whole way through the hard plastic and into the wood. I would ideally like to give it 4 1/2 stars as it is difficult to situate the staple really precisely as there has to be some space between the front and the staple and the sides - some brilliant device for making it easier to see where that point of entry is would make it super-excellent. Incidentally, the tool has a lovely firm feel to it -- a real pleasure to use with the one slight proviso.

Brilliant. Really happy with
Excellent tool. I'm really pleased with this purchase. Feels robust, is easy to use and is easy on the hands too and completed the job without a single jam. Bought this as my existing gun wasn't up to the job in hand - re-covering the seat pads on dining chairs. Thought at first this was due to weak staples. I was wrong. I've got an electric stapler but the shortest staples available for this were too long. I think the electric stapler will be redundant now as this will be up to all the jobs I'll need a staple gun for. So pleased I chose this one.

Bad Design Fault
I needed a workshop stapler to replace a Black & Decker PowerShot that had worked faultlessly for over 20 years. This Tacwise seemed to fit the bill. But it was a bad choice. After a few months of very light use, the safety lock jammed. It wouldn't budge and I had no option but to break the plastic lock as I couldn't use the stapler. Yesterday, while stapling some plasic membrane, the stapler started to misfire - blanks instead of staples. Then the trigger gave up the ghost, There was no trigger pressure and it wouldn't fire a staple. When dismantled, the lever that raises a slider pin to fire a staple wasn't engaging. No matter what I tried, the lever wouldn't engage. Nothing was broken. In fact, the components are well made. The firing mechanism has a narrow margin between engage and release. It should engage the pin in an arc movement. At the top of the arc, the lever slips the (now) spring loaded pin and fires the staple. And that's the problem. To slip the pin, the lever doesn't fully engage and, in my opinion, is doomed to failure, sooner or later. I can't recommend this stapler The good news is I've now found a used PowerShot on ebay!

Great stapler and works as advertised. Just don't be like me and purchase the wrong kind of staples for it. It has a lot of safety features over other staplers to keep someone from grabbing it and accidentally using it. This is a good features since it's designed to take a bit less force to squeeze off a staple with this model. It's something you need to judge for yourself and can compare to other models of staple gun if you have one. For me it was a lighter squeeze than usual, which is great for large staple jobs. But for those of you worried that someone may grab this and hurt themselves, the safety features on it to lock the arm help prevent that. And as always, use common sense with tools and don't leave them in a box of toys or use them to help take a shower... The tracker is nice to keep lines steady and the staple gun itself has a bit of a guide along the bottom to help you "walk" the gun along whatever cable you may be stapling. It's not profound enough to really displace the gun if you need it flat against a surface or something like that. But just enough to help you walk a cable. The light squeeze action to the handle would make this a great for jobs that need multiple staples fast over a pneumatic or electric staple gun if needed without causing tons of strain to your hands.

Bought for personal use, a little heavy but does a good job. Fairly simple to load samples.
