IT DOES REDUCE THE MESS but could do with a couple of design changes!
I've just bought one of these and both my budgies and lineolated parakeets took to it straight away. They already had a different version but the Linnies didn't like it at all and would only use a normal seed dish. The Linnies have now commandeered this seed corral and the budgies have to stick to the other one! The corral is sited inside the flight cage and two birds can eat together comfortably. Seed husk mess has been reduced considerably😊 I found the clips easy to attach to the corral but a bit fiddly when hooking the corral to the horizontal bars as the hooks swing about. I got around this by removing the clips and sliding a bird friendly length of wire through the two holes then bending the ends into hooks - easy! I have found that a perch needs to be positioned close to the front of the corral as it's own inbuilt perch is set half way inside the box. The bird has to land on the acrylic front edge so giving it a perch it can land on then step into the corral is much easier. Some of the comments have mentioned not being able to fit the corral through their cage door but that's down to not checking the measurements of the door or the corral. Overall I like the seed corral but I think for the price the design could be better ie changing the hooks and adding an additional landing perch. NB: I just had a thought- I could cut a piece of dowel to size then cut a groove along its length and fit it onto the acrylic front edge to make a landing perch. That might work!

Shame about the hooks
This has really cut down on the mess my little budgie makes when eating. I have used it for over a month now. I use it outside his cage door and after a few days he ventured in and now loves it. It also has great acoustics he has found! As for the fiddly hooks, they are a disaster. Very fiddly and fall out at the worst minute such as emptying into a smelly bin. Fiddly to then get back on again to cage, at this stage I don't think I will ever discover the secret..BUT I would rather put up with that than all the cleaning I did before the purchase.TIP : Hold on to them darn hooks hard when removing, emptying and refitting to cage.

A great product - reduces mess
I am not sure why people have issue with the hooks. Mine have ridges, so they slide in, and once twisted so the ridge is not aligned they cannot slide out until twisted back and re-aligned. I have a cockatiel who is 1 yr old. He ignored it for about 24 hours but after that (hungry I guess) he jumped in and ate all his breakfast. I made sure he had access to his fresh fruit and veg while he was ignoring his new seed/pellet dish so no danger of him going hungry. I am pleased that the feeder is large enough for Hugo to fit in, and I put an extra perch nearby so he can easily climb into the feeder and step on the wooden perch within. I carefully considered where to hang the feeder - so Hugo can access it without issue, and so I can take it in and out with ease. I would recommend this product as it does reduce the mess of husks and pellets that get strewn around the outside of the cage, and Hugo appears happy with it too.

Does the job really well
What a great little device! It took my cockatiel a week to figure out how to get to the seed but now he's got it he's quite happy with the set up! It contains all the husks and seed mess and keeps his cage floor and my lounge floor much cleaner! I have had to put a perch right in front of it as he was struggling to get in. With the perch there he's much happier and more confident about going right inside. I have not had any problems with attaching it with the wire hooks. Although beware, I lost one of them in the bin when emptying the old seed out. I had to rummage through the potato peelings to find it. Take them out or hold on to them when emptying the seed corral!

Nice little feeder this
Great for keeping the fruit off the floor and walls of the house!Mine goes on the front of the cage where an opening has been made and clips on and off effortlessly as I shortened the clip where it overhangs the cage wire, which I think is the problem that other users seem to have trouble with, so it easily slides into now. Also pressing the clips by the sides so as to keep them from swiveling makes the job of hanging/removing easier too. Ideal for me and will definitely be getting another one or two for other cages

Not bad
There is no mess which is why I bought it however it's tricky to install needs two people to clip it on and the clips are loose. But I think I will buy another one.

More than £20 for what - it certainly isn't for any great design or innovation
We paid silly, silly money for this and I'm regretting it. More than £20 for what - it certainly isn't for any great design or innovation! It's a pain to get it mounted/unmounted on horizontal bars which also requires taking the off the top of the cage as it won't fit through the door. Plus, could have bought direct from the supplier's supplied catalogue for £3+ pounds less. Oh well!plus side: mess is contained.
