Philips Ladyshave

This really is a fabulous lady shaver, and at a remarkable price too! I have never had a lady shave that gives a good close shave, and had given up on them. However, after struggling for years to use a razor in the shower, and nicking myself too many times, I decided to buy one again. I was worried that it was too cheap to be any good, but I needn’t have worried. The Philips Satinshave did a brilliant job - no stubble and really nice smooth legs. I went out with bare legs and no razor nicks in sight for once. Not so good on the bikini line, but definitely brilliant on legs and under arms. I like the fact that it is battery operated as I never remember to charge devices. So this is always ready to use. This didn’t pinch, catch or scratch. Nice size to hold, and easy to use. Comes with the batteries and a little brush. I am glad I didn’t spend more on a really expensive one, because it couldn’t have been any better than this. I highly recommend. Shame it didn’t come with a little pouch but that will be easy to find one.

As I found out I was expecting, I new that the luxury of spending time on myself will be out of the window. So I thought buying an electric shaver would be quick, easy to use and easy to maintain. I was indeed right! It did not give me a close shave as there are still small grain of hairs about but that is because my hair is very thick and dark, therefore I cannot get a smooth legs unless I wax. I am not at least bothered about a bit of hairs as long as it's less visible.Pros:Small so it's nice and easy to hold, which makes it simple to glide over legs.Easy to clean with the small plastic brush.Can take off top of head to put under warm tap for easy cleaning.Takes no time at all to do each leg.I applied coconut oil before I used it for an easier glide and less irritation on the skin.My advice to anyone who has thick dark hairs; if you don't mind having very small grainy hairs which are barely noticeable go for it! But if you are a perfectionist on your legs it's not for you. Anyone with blonde hairs it is very much a product for you, as you would be able to quickly shave and not worry about your hair follicles being noticeable.I would personally always use coconut oil on legs as my skin is sensitive and it really diminishes ingrown hairs.All in all I am happy with this product :)

I've just bought my third one of these (dropped the first one on a stone floor on holiday and it shattered - disaster! Second one has lasted me three years but the foil is starting to get a bit rusty and blunt). I've always had very sensitive skin and blade shaving used to leave me with chronic razor burn and irritation - problem solved with this lady-shaver! It doesn't cut quite as close as blade shaving, but it's pretty good and I'm willing to sacrifice a few spiky patches for calm skin!! I've considered buying a rechargeable model but I like that I can grab this whenever I need it and not worry about whether it's charged. The batteries last for ages anyway! I usually use mine with some moisturising soap in the shower and it takes a minute or two for underarms and 5-10 mins for a thorough job on my lower legs. Not bad at all!

We've all got an epilator collecting dust in a drawer, right? Last time I experimented with epilation I found that the only part I really used was the trimmer head on my bikini line prior to waxing, so when that device carked it I grabbed this guy as a replacement.I've only used it for the task of ladygarden maintenance so far. I'm sure I could try it on my underarms and legs, but I'm not convinced that it would shave as closely as a razor and foam. But for my womanly treasure? It's wonderful. I felt a bit odd using it in the shower - as though it might short out and electrocute me - but it works brilliantly. The foil side trims hair very, very, very close, but doesn't completely shave, which is great for that region for avoiding ingrowns. As for the device itself, it's surprisingly heavy and solid for a battery powered shaver at this price, and it feels really nice in your hand.As a trimmer, this exceeded my expectations for the price.

Took me ages going through reviews, ordered and returned a couple of shavers, after reading reviews on this one I decided to buy it. I am not dissapointed! Now, I have coarse horrible leg hair ( annoying to say the least!) I found I was having to wet shave every day, I needed something to just zap over quick every now and then, this does the job perfectly!! It's the best shaver I've had. Not dead smooth like a wet shave but! Close enough!!! I highly recommend it to anyone who gets annoyed shaving every day, 5 mins both legs done! No soreness, no rash, only thing I'd have liked is a carry case to put it away in but hey, can't complain too much!This is also ideal for teenage girls starting to shave.

Good razor always use rechargeable batteries.

Bought this on an impulse as my legs have become so sensitive. Wasn't expecting much as the last 2 were very poor but this gives a close shave.

Edit: ive since found that if you use it on very short hairs and catch it just as its beginning to grow back then its much more reliable. Otherwise its as ive said originally below.I bought this as an initial test to see if it would be easier using this kind of 'electric' razor over a normal semi disposable one. I've concluded I'll stick to the latter. With fine hair it just doesn't get rid of anything. Have tried different angles thinking I was doing something wrong but no improvement. Just doesn't actually shave. It's so useless it would take about 2 hours I think to do half a leg! Back to the Wilkinson it is.
