Just the job for clearing the kitchen waste pipe runs. More trouble to come for all of us with Councils insisting we wash everything before binning! Yes, you can take off the traps and get out the grime but the runs of pipe require - this "worm-type" cleaning rod.Insert by pushing a little while you turn the handle end - inserting thread-like. Works a treat - nothing fancy!Cheap and cheerful - it works well so no need to spend more. Advise people get one before they need it. Fortunately I only waited a couple of days for it. Saved on cost - without a plumbers fee!

Rarely used, this is an essential item to keep in a tool box for that rare occasion when you need a flexible tool to clear a blockage somewhere in a system - in my case, I used it to unblock a simple, yet challenging blockage on a heating oil supply pipe. In this instance, I was able to manoeuvre the tool through the pipe and latch onto a floating gauge and free it up.I may not use it again for quite a while, however, they are useful to keep as over the years I have purchased a few, either lose them or lend them to people and they are never returned.

Does the job, functional but not outstanding. Good price though but better tools are available. You get what you pay for though

Product arrived the next day, is sturdy and good value for money. I had to work myself up to do this job as I find messing with plugs and drains quite disgusting. However, it cleared easier than I thought. I have two daughters with long hair and the bath plug hole gets blocked up regularly. It needed a few goes to get the bulk of it cleared but it was simple and easier to do and much better for the environment than using harsh chemicals.Watch out for the spring when you first open the packet. Also, when pulling it out of the plug hole - you may get splashed with some undesirable debris if you're not careful!I will be using this again and will tackle my kitchen sink next!

Update:The Seller provided full refund, so updating the review to 5 stars for great customer service resolving issue with the second order and good quality of the item from the first order.----------I received very different item, it is much shorter and very flimsy. I bought this before and it was very robust and much thicker. Disappointed

A new toilet started blocking after a week as suspect the bend and modern toilet was finding toilet roll harder to flush. Guided this sturdy pipe around u-bend and toilet worked great since. I am however, pleased I read a review about being careful when uncoiling the tube after opening package as it was indeed powerful on opening out. I highly recommend.

This didn't work at all. Didn't have any impact. Must be better out there.

Has a tendency to get stuck in the drain on any little thing so on a number of occasions I was worried I was going to have to call someone in to get it out.Nearly lost an eye when cutting the ties off because I wasn't aware of the fact that it was going to spring into a straight line and just how quickly and fiercely it does it.On the plus side it did help clear the drain of a little hair (turns out the hair wasn't the problem though), so would probably be good for simple blockages like hair, tissue, food.
