Delicious orange drink
I lived in the USA in the mid 70s, and powdered drinks like this one were what I drank (Grape flavour cool aid is good too. Once I found they were available i this country from Amazon, I had to try some. It brought back memories of my childhood, and tastes just as good as I remember it! It tastes more like freshly squeezed orange juice than normal orange squash of even carton of orange juice, it really is refreshing. The only downside is it is not particularly cheap, but as an occasional treat it is great.Oh yeah, remember when mixing, an American quart is only 32 fl.oz.!

Orange Juice at its best
I love this drink - it tastes like fresh squeezed oranges when mixed. I have not tried the other flavours but plan to. You can mix it with still water or carbonated water - so versatile.BEST OF ALL THERE ARE NO SWEETNERS IN IT! Sweeteners cause my asthma to flare up and as more of the "regular" soft drinks are mixing sugar with sweeteners, this is a god send.My only moan is that it can be pricey.

It's tangy!
Tastes nice but boy did it make my teeth orange for a moment the 1st time I tried it, (got to get the dose right here!). I was hoping for the taste similar to the Birds Apeel orange drink of my childhood, and after much research this is probably the closest to it. It is full of sugar, so as drinks go, not the healthiest, but tastes great. However, the last ingredient BHA (a 'safe in small doses food preservative') there is some debate over it so, personally, I have decided to not drink it which is a shame, and this is why I have given it 4 stars. It is last on the list of ingredients so the amount is likely minimal. Anyway I have given it away to a friend who loves it.

Advice on how to open stubborn bottle.
It's tang. A tart orange flavored drink. 2 tablespoons in a large mug (depending on the size of your mug, adjust to taste, start with 2), cold water, a good stir and optionally, add ice. A childhood favorite that has yet to stop pleasing.I noticed when buying this product that it got low star reviews because they couldn't get the jar open. Here's how to get it open:cut away the plastic outer wrapping. Along the bottom of the lid, you will see a faint joining to the body of the bottle. Run a sharp knife all around the lid/bottle. Then, go find someone that is strong and ask them to open it, because I sure in heck couldn't do it. I tried every weaker person trick i knew and it stayed closed like pandora's box. Like it was melted together. Like someone in development thought I wanted to work this hard to get to their product. Even my strong husband took a good 5 seconds to get this open. If you dont have someone strong around don't buy this, cause seriously, you'll just get frustrated.Other than that, it's great!Seller is not responsible for the developer's evil ways. It was packaged well for shipping, arrived undamaged and on time. Will buy again.

Powder which makes a refreshing breakfast juice
I bought this for two reasons, I'm interested in American food or drink and I read in a recent Cracked.com article about make believe cocktails featured in TV sitcoms and cartoons, like Married With Children, The Simpsons and Archer, one of which involved mixing Tang orange with beer.It is a concentrated powder which can be mixed by the tablespoons (directions are on the reverse of the tub) to make individual drinks, jugs or punch bowls of orange juice, I thought it tasted closer to breakfast juice, of the sort you could see in large quantities served in hotels or restaurants, than any orange dilute beverage made in the UK.So far as the Tang orange and beer mix featured in the Cracked.com article, I'd say this is a matter of individual preference by and large and you are going to get vastly different results depending upon what beers you mix it with (I did not need to try mixing it with Guinness as the Cracked writer did, I could guess that wouldnt be a good idea) but it wasnt awful.

Brings back memories
It's a long long time since I last bought powdered orange to add to Liptons powdered tea and cinnamon for a lovely warming winter drink. Must be more than 20 years since I last made it. Tango Orange powder has made it possible again. I'm really looking forward to it.
