Didn't leave me in the cold
These do work pretty good, but I did have to relocate it. Wasn't turning on but then realized where i had it located was staying warmer than ambient temp. Where i had it to stay out of the elements was took to long to get to ambient and was causing issues. Relocating the device seemed to correct the issue. So it appears it works just fine.

Doesn't work
I purchased one of these last year but didn't have a chance to use it then. When I hooked it up this year, I found it was a dud and would not turn on once the temperature dropped. After reading through the reviews, it appears the odds of getting a working one is hit or miss. All of the other similar products I saw had a lower threshold to turn on (30 - 32 degrees), and I would prefer one that comes on before the temperature reaches freezing. So, I decided to give this one another chance, and this time make sure to test it before the return period runs out. Sadly, the 2nd one doesn't work either. I left it outside in < 20 degree temps for around half an hour and it never activated.I guess I'll keep trying and returning them until I get one that works. If there are enough returns of this faulty product, just maybe the company will evaluate their quality controls and improve the reliability of it.

Works great, I use the plug to run heat lamps in a well house in the winter. It sets the temperature to keep from freezing.

Ready for winter
Ready for winter. Put a 500watt halogen light in my crawl space with a light in the bathroom so ill know when it's on. I like the double plug in.

Worked as described
I bought these for our lake house. We have a outdoor faucet and it has a type of water line you can't drain after turning off the water supply. So we use a heat lamp under the cabinet. We are in TX so this was perfect. It could be freezing at night & then by noon it's 70°.Easy to install, performed as stated, quality is good and great value

Battery compartment warming.
Finally installed them and not sure if they are working properly at this time. Waited for cold weather but at 4 degrees C the temperature of the compartment was still the same as ambient. Should have been 10 degrees higher.Supposed to come on at below 38 degrees F and off at approximately 50 degrees F.
