Easy to use and looks good

When I first tried these scales they did not work at all. My neighbours also tried them and got nothing. The next morning before packing them to be returned they came to life and worked perfectly! I have no idea why they were now working as I had done nothing to them overnight.I have therefore changed my previous comments in my first review

I discovered recently that my old scales had seized up from lack of use, so, curious to see how much weight I'd lost since taking up power walking, I needed to replace them with a digital model. Every model I checked had quite a number of adverse reviews, even some by well-known (and trusted) brands. In the end I decided to buy these. There weren't too many reviews, but they were very favourable. The scales are minimalist, basically a piece of glass with a rectangular screen for the actual reading. The digits are large enough for me to read without my glasses and the accuracy seems to be very good. I don't appear to have had any "rogue" readings and my weight loss over the last few weeks seems just about right. The scales seem to pick up on small increments. Just make sure your feet are dry when you use the scales; there's a warning about this in the accompanying leaflet. On one occasion, my right sole was a little damp from the shower and, on stepping off, it stuck to the scales and lifted them up slightly, only for them to clatter back to the floor - which they survived intact. I have found, however, that I always need to take a second reading - i.e., having stepped off and back on. The initial reading either seems to have been the one given at my previous weighing or one that is just slightly off. When it's the latter, a "C" (error) has flashed up. The second reading (and third, if I've decided to check it) has/have always been correct/identical. The choice between Kgs and Stones etc. is ideal.

Slim scales. Platform good size and easy to read figures.Disappointing that they were cheaper after Prime Day, lesson learned there!

Easy to use and consistent in use.It's the consistency which is most important to me, as I'm regularly tracking my weight for weight-loss reasons.My previous digital scale was also consistent, although not quite so easy to use (it did not have "step on technology"). That was a HoMedics, and was very good, but finally packed up after at least 11 years.I had tried one other make in the meantime, but sent it back because it was giving inconsistent readings.I was afraid of this being the case with this one, but it seems consistent. That is if I weight myself 3 times in a row, it will give the same answer each time. Well, there is sometimes a discrepancy in the decimal part of the lb, but I don't think that matters.It also gives pretty much the same result as my wife's current analogue scales (which she prefers to digital).I like the ability to have it showing pounds, kilograms, or stones and pounds, and I can confirm that once it is showing a weight, you can toggle the switch at the back, and it will convert it to one of the other settings ok. (That had come up in one of the questions about the product).Personally, I weigh myself in stones and pounds, but record my weight in both stones and pounds, and also total pounds. I find the latter system (which the Americans use) actually better for keeping track of one's weight over time. e.g. it's easier to calculate the number of pounds you've lost (or gained!) between any two intervals. Also easier to graph, if you wish to.Also, many diet/health related books and online articles/blogs are American and would use pounds, when body weight is mentioned, so it's nice sometimes to be able to relate one's own weight to whatever is being discussed in the article, etc.It doesn't have extra bells and whistles, like body fat percentage, which the HoMedics one did, but the latter facility was very inaccurate I found, so stopped using it fairly quickly. The HoMedics one also did BMI, but that's easy enough to calculate or look up separately, and if you record your weight in a spreadsheet, you can set that up to calculate BMI automatically.I think I'd rather that the cost of these scales mostly goes on producing an accurate and consistent body weight measurement.

These scales are clear so will fit in with any bathroom. They are slim so can be stored out of sight, and the digital read is very clear. A good buy.

Fantastic feature. Elegant and soothing style. Very visible numbers on the display.

So far, good. Pulled the tab to activate the battery, stepped on it. Wow! Much more accurate than my old scale. This has a sleek, modern look to it. Fits very well in my bath area with a “spa” theme. Since I had a doc appointment the day I received it, I could confirm the weight reading. Same clothing, shoes gave me a reading equal to doc’s scale to one ounce. Great price and value.
