Whether you have grown up admiring Paddington Bear, or just recently discovered who he is, I highly recommend this book for kids. It has little pockets that are envelopes, and kids can actually take things out of the pocket. It teaches kids that Christmas is not all about presents, but it can just be all about making something with love.

This book takes the cuteness level of Paddington and then times it by about 100. Paddington is getting ready for Christmas, and is helping in any way that he can. From making his own cards, to decorating the tree, he writes to his Aunt Lucy, letting her know about his preparations. The book includes pages which are made to look like an envelope, and they contain letters from Paddington to his aunt, as well as other little keepsakes. This is such a fun thing for young children. As a child, I would have loved this book. Even as an adult, I loved this book from start to finish. R. W. Alley provides the illustrations, and as normal they are also very cute. I love the little details in them, such as his original label hanging up in his bedroom. And Paddington in his little pajamas is just the cutest. A great festive read for young ones, or for any fans of this lovable bear.

Beautiful book but two of the envelopes had a blank piece of card instead of the letters that should have been inside.
