I like to take care of quality leather products so purchased the gel as a protector for some suede boots - I don't trust sprays to do the job. I wiped the boots with a damp cloth to remove any dust & dirt & then applied the gel, which has the texture of a light cream, with a small sponge. Go sparingly, it would be easy to over-apply. I was a bit nervous about the nap of the suede disappearing as I applied the gel but trusted the instructions & left the boots to dry, probably for a couple of hours. I then used a suede brush in a circular motion, the nap reappeared (phew!) & the leather felt soft & protected without any visible residue. I have been out in the rain since & the boots repelled the water - yay! I have also tried the gel on normal leather & it left it soft with a nice sheen.This product may have been expensive but the results are exactly what you want & a little goes such a long way it's going to last for ages.

I used this for the first time recently as I have previously just used the Collonil Waterstop Classic Spray. The Waterstop Spray and this Gel both say they waterproof, but only the spray says it also has UV protection to stop the colour of the leather from fading. The new Collonil spray - Carbon Pro, doesn't mention any UV protection eitherAlthough the Waterstop spray is a bit quicker to apply than the gel, and the Waterstop spray has UV protection so stops the colour of the leather from fading, (which the gel doesn't mention), the gel has certain advantages over the Waterstop spray. The Gel nourishes the leather and and conceals scuff marks, which the Waterstop spray doesn't do. The Gel has made my old leather bag look like new. It is also easier to get the gel into all the little nooks and crannies, and you don't have to try not to inhale it when you apply it like you do with the spray.

I have been using Collonil to protect my expensive Mulberry leather bags for a few years as it's the product Mulberry sell and recommended themselves.Normally the leather gel comes in a small pot (not easy to use and runs out quick), this pump dispenser is great. It is easy to use and get the right ammount and lasts ages - even when protecting large items.It conditions and protects leather from water. My bags always look great and I don't have to worry about the rainy British weather.Can be use for shoes and other leather items.

Bought to treat some waxed-style Loake boots and am quite pleased by it. Followed the instructions, wetting and cleaning the boots with water prior to application, then applied the collonil gel. The boots were darkened by the process, though not unpleasantly, and having worn them in wet conditions I can report that the boots did have good water repellancy with the water beading on the boot. So, a nice product that seems to act as claimed, but quite expensive for the quantity delivered. I think the 60ml tub would struggle to fully treat more than a couple of pairs of such boots, but perhaps the boots were greedy for product on their first application. I don't think I was being over-generous in my application.

I first bought Collonil leather gel for my Mulberry bags but since then I have so many uses for it with suede and leather shoes, accessories, bags, furniture, jackets et cetera. It is perfect for water proofing leather or just bringing an item back to life.The smell is not great but it isn't offensive and it certainly does not linger once the item is dry. You do need to take care when opening the gel though as if it has been shaken up at all it can be partial to splatter you when you open it.Once every two months I use this on my shoes and bags and it really makes a difference, it keeps them in tip top condition and stops them getting ruined should I say get caught in the rain or something.Highly recommend this product to anyone who is a fan of leather clothing or accessories.

Very good for shoes & handbags. Easy to apply & really cleans & nourishes leather.

This size is good value for money. I had 2 pairs of needing treatment. 1cream pair and 1 navy blue pair. They both soaked up the cream which I rubbed in with my finger. After leaving them to dry I buffed them up with a microfibre cloth and they look like new. Very pleased with this product. Cannot comment on the waterproofing as I haven't worn them in the rain.

I bought this gel for my mulberry bag as this is the recommended brand to use and it's worked a treat! Has made it feel nice and nourished and completely waterproofed it. I wanted to try it because I wear dark jeans and i'm getting some dye transfer on to my bag, since using this gel it has been a lot easier to clean dye off it because it's working like a barrier to stop it getting engrained on the leather. It hasn't changed the colour at all either or made it too shiny! Highly recommend this product and at a great price here with speedy delivery!

Amazing product. Completely protects from water stains. I apply it every year and my uggs from 14 years ago still look new.

Lässt sich sehr gut verarbeiten und auf jedem glatten Echtlederschuh auch gut und sparsam mit einem Mikrofasertuch verreiben.Kann man nur weiter empfehlen.

Verschillende leerproducten al mee behandeld om het leer mee te voeden, zoals leren jassen (glad leer), rundlederen tassen, leren portemonnees, leren riemen, leren handschoenen en leren schoenen. In alle gevallen werd het leer weer soepel en kreeg het z'n glans terug en in sommige gevallen waarbij de kleur enigszins vaal was geworden kwam de oorspronkelijke kleur weer terug.
