I think I got my monies worth. My Afro Puff Ponytail looked good and kinda natural, especially for the price. It matched my hair texture and salt and pepper color almost perfectly. I got so many wonderful compliments everytime I went out. The hair piece worked really well for me until I decided to wash it. It didn't look or smell dirty after wearing a few times. However, I told myself that it needed to be cleaned and refreshed. Oh how wrong I was. Because it was so cheap I carefully and very lightly dipped it 2-3 times in luke warm water with a couple small drops of plain shampoo. I rinsed it in clear luke warm water, again carefully and lightly dipping it in water about 2-3 times. I softly and very gently squeezed the water out of the hair, then loosely wrapped it in a clean dry towel for about 7 minutes. I hung the ponytail over a towel rack to dry. It dried quickly but unfortunately, most of the tightly coiled curls loosened so much that it showed where every stitch of synthetic hair was sewn. The nice looking afro puff was done, dead. It was now too ugly to wear. For the price, I guess 7 months of wear wasn't too bad.

This hair saved my pride at a friend's wedding.Background: I had just taken out a sew-in and hadn't had a chance to wash and detangle my hair. So I really didn't want to apply any heat to it. I have relaxed hair but about an inch of 4c new growth at roots. My hair looked BAD. And I looked dumpy. But I pulled my hair into a messy ponytail, added this piece and...magic. I felt so beautiful the whole night. Pictures don't even do it justice. It has little combs so it feels secure, too. Not comfortable to sleep in, but it's OK bc putting it on is really fast.

I kept this purchase, the feel/texture of the hair is good, I just didn’t like it that much for me … I will play around with the puff with and without bangs for styling. Overall, a good purchase.
