HBO Game of Thrones: Trivia Game- First Edition

A great game.I was sceptical to begin with as a lot of Trivia games are simply "pick a card, answer question, gain a wedge of cheese etc" but this one is different, you get a board to play on with the aim of conquering Westeros with your knowledge of the TV show (Seasons 1-4). All questions are multiple choice and there's a picture round too, we have fun just trying to pronounce the names of some of the characters pictured (eg. Q. What is the name of the Unsullied Slave Master? A. Kraznys mo Nakloz… of course).On your turn you chose a location, then which season and whether you'd like to answer 1, 2 or all 3 questions about that season. If you get your question(s) correct you insert a wedge corresponding to the number of questions answered and remove an opponent’s smaller wedge (I have answered 2 questions correctly, I insert my 2 question wedge and remove my opponents 1 question wedge). Whoever has the highest amount of wedges in a location controls that location, whoever controls the most locations at the end of the game is the winner.With over 1,200 questions it’ll take a while to get old. Some of the questions are purely guesswork, unless you’ve watched all the special features on the DVD’s. One question, “How many people auditioned for the role of Arya Stark? 200, 400 or 800?”

2 ways to play. The basic game is basically trivial pursuit but with a map of Westeros and awesome Thrones questions. The advanced game has some nice twists with the bonus cards that brings some interesting tactics into play.The questions are based on series 1 - 4 but you will need to have paid close attention because many of them are tricky. A few of the questions required knowledge of bonus scenes on the DVD. Luckily I'd watched these on Youtube recently because I can't get enough Thrones. (Well worth checking out deleted scenes, whether you buy the game or not.)The questions have 3 choices of answer so even if it's a tricky one you still have a good chance to guess it, so it's not too much of a problem.The game takes approx. 1hour to play, if you take your time and allow thinking time for questions.Also worth noting that the actual board and cards are high quality prints and feels well worth the money. I initially felt it was slightly pricey but I now feel it's worth every penny.Very happy with it.

Amazing game, bought it for someone for their birthday and they love it and played with them. I highly recommend this game for GOT fan! You definitely learn new things as some little details just slip by in the series.

Excellent game. It is a simple to learn triva game with a good variety of questions. The questions are well thought out and there are plenty of them. We love it.

Arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Definitely recommend for GOT fans, lots of challenging questions, good gameplay and easy to learn.

Great quality on the product - material, pictures, designbut most of the questions are very hard to answer - we did see all seasons, some of them multiple times, yet the questions have no relation to them. we need to keep guessing

This is a really fun game for the G.O.T. fan!

El juego está muy bien! Es muy divertido. Perfecto para regalo. Única pega: está en inglés. Y si no lo dominas bien bien overnainzausen, no te lo recomiendo.

If you're obsessed with GoT like me, or know someone who is, this game is fantastic! I recently played with friends and we had a great time. The questions are difficult, but they're multiple choice and sometimes you can figure out the answer. There are also questions based on the DVD extras. I hope there will be an expansion pack of question cards when the series is done.

Ein sehr cooles Spiel und Gott sei Dank nicht zu einfach. Es sind viele Fragen dabei, von denen man echt noch nie gehört hat, oder schon ganz schön nachdenken muss, um draufzukommen. Da es komplett auf Englisch ist, kann man auch das noch nebenher üben. Hat uns schon sehr viel Freude gemacht.

It's a Christmas present so I haven't given it yet, but I'm sure she will love it.
