GOOD BUT FLAWED
First and foremost, this book is really useful. This cannot be disputed. Each location is packed full of valuable info and for that gets 5/5. Unfortunately, the index (and I suppose overall layout) is infuriating and lets the rest of the book down. For example, go to F in the index; France isn't listed. You could argue that the names of breaks are listed so instead you need only look for Hossegor or something, but it'd be much easier if they were under the heading of their respective country. Here the plot thickens, because if you go to page 74 (Hossegor), you come to the France SECTION, where Hossegor is amongst other recommended breaks. Wtf! It's so stupid. There are also a lot of adverts (sure, you've got to make some money but adverts in a book, yuck) and the Shooting Your Trip section is rubbish.I got bored writing this about halfway through so apologies for the abrupt ending.

Sam Bleakley is one of the most natural longboard surfers on the planet and his knowledge of longboard travel is first class
Sam Bleakley is one of the most natural longboard surfers on the planet, his knowledge of longboard travel is first class, this book will without doubt show you where the best longboarding waves are and is a first of a kind. If you are new to longboarding or even surfing then it is important you know that a shortboard wave can be far different to a longboard wave, so if you are a longboard surfer this should be on your book shelf, in your car and most important than on the top of the coffee table for those cold winter days when you just feel like a trip.

Beautiful but short!
Another great surf guide book - similar in ways the the Stormrider range. Only issue is, it's too short on spots!

Not recommended.
Dreadful book - not very well researched and padded out with nonsense. Reads like a shortboarder who was asked to write a book on longboarding.
