Good fun expansion for Carcassonne - top quality as you can expect from Z-Man games

A great addition to the base carcassone game. My wife constantly beats me at the game but this adds a bit more complexity and enables her to score even more! Definitely worth it to beef up the game.

We found ourselves playing the base game of Carcassonne increasingly often, and were tempted to buy an expansion. Although this is number 2 in the series we liked the look of it, and it transformed the game. Firstly, we discovered that we had not picked up the farmer element in the base game, which is a whole new dimension in itself. In this expansion, the pig augments the farmer scoring and can often be a game winner. The extra go when using the builder meeple speeds things up, and with the extra land tiles the game strategy is more challenging. We have since bought the first expansion, Inns and Cathedrals, and Carcassonne is now, without doubt, our favourite game.

Good expansion. Adds a decent amount more to the game. Good quality pieces and fits nicely with the base game, as you’d expect.

This expansion adds a great new dimension to the game and is perfect if you're starting to tire of it following a predictable pattern. The builder enables you to aim higher with your building projects, and we've seen several mega-cities change whole games (ones we never would have had an opportunity to finish before using the builder). The traders mix things up even more, giving players an incentive to finish each others' cities, which really changes the dynamic. The rules for the new pieces are easy to pick up and integrate into the game - we've even taught a few people to play since adding this expansion and have found that, although there are a few more rules to learn, it doesn't really make it much harder. I really reccommend this for new players or for seasoned players.

My son plays this online with his girlfriend who is stuck in New Zealand. He bought me the box set and we have been playing it in an evening. It's as complicated as you want to make it and figuring out strategies is challenging. Love it.

I was looking for another addition to the main game (I also have the princess and the dragon) and I have to say that this is a good one. The product arrived on time and in excellent condition. The game is easy to learn and it helps to score the points in a different way. Highly recommended!

I bought this as a present for my Dad as we both enjoyed Carcassonne but felt that we were getting too clever and not able to enjoy it as we once had. The expansion pack has massively helped and we now have to start to learn both new rules and tactics to try and win the game. Definitely worth purchasing if you enjoy Carcassonne and want to improve and prolong gameplay.

Das Spiel ist wirklich lustig. Es ist KEINE Ergänzung, sondern ein eigenständiges Spiel. Das wurde beim Kauf von mir übersehen, es macht aber trotzdem sehr viel Spaß!! Toll zum Verschenken und selbst bespielen. Kaufempfehlung!

If you are into tiles placement games, this one is definitely the one you should dive into... This game is super awesome. Highly recommended for 2-4 players.
