I have to say I was wondering about the quality but these are good value, and look to be reasonable quality, I only looked on Amazon out of curiosity, I was going to pay 5.10 each from another online tool shop and I needed 3. These are strong and are different to the cast items I was going to buy, these are pressed steel but are still strong the pressing is only a cover the strength is in the inner section that is covered. Fitting is always a fiddle with these things - masking tape on the door helps; Fix the longer item to the floor or skirting board first then attach both parts, close door and mark the location, this isn't always easy granted but that is how I did it then use this mark to find a center and go from there, there is sufficient movement in the catch assembly (spring loaded) to allow for a small amount of misalignment to be catered for. Glad I found these, they come warpped in bubble wrap, no problem, with a floor anchor two screws and two rawlplugs but no instructions, then to be fair neither did the 5.10 item that I had bought previously for another job.Good item and you could not tell the difference in quality, lets face it it is on the floor it is not looking straight at you!!

This is a neat, attractive product which gives an efficient robust magnetic retaining power for your doors. Easy to fix to skirting boards and doors in my situations, BUT I wish the supplier took more care over providing a complete package.There were no instructions sent, so I had to ask them and they did reply with attached sketch immediately. However, these instructions are not totally helpful because when initially received I wasn't sure how the baseplate was detached from the cup & spring piece so it could be screwed to the door. It was tempting to insert a screwdriver into the slot and perhaps force it...but in fact a screwdriver still has to be inserted, but twisted so the baseplate unscrews a couple of turns to be detached... It then says install the basement plate to the door with two tapping screws - these were NOT included in the package. Only screws for the block piece.However, when all said and done, I think these door retainers are good value for the price and I don't hesitate in recommending them...

These magnetic doorstoppers are great, they work perfectly and are NOT disappointing. The bolts are just the right length which in this case is critical because it they were too short then the assembly would not connect together and if they were too long then the assembly would not tighten up. Fix the bracket with the captive bolt to the wall securely, put the shaft on the bold loosely, fit the covers then loosely fit the ball. Loosely means only screw up a half thread/turn. Now tighten the ball which will equally tighten the shaft onto the bolt and everything will be become completely firm. Now for the door part, place the magnetic part on the ball and bring the door up and get the angle right and mark out on the door where to drill your holes. It does NOT have to be mm accurate. There is an extra bonus nut and bolt included and there doesn't seem to be a use for them.

Very weak magnet and poor quality.it looks ok but when Ive touched and installed it I understood why it is so cheap. Wouldn't buy it again and didn't bother to return.I've installed it and seems to be working for now. I bet they'll fall apart after a few months.

Easy to install if you know what you are doing, understandably difficult for novice DIYers. The magnet seems plenty powerful for our needs and when found to be not strong enough to hold a sprung door, I simply moved it closer to the outer edge where it would have greater leverage against the door spring.The build quality and quality of materials used to make it is quite poor especially for a product that is fixed to the floor and is prone to accidental kicks and knocks, but they've been installed for two weeks and they seem to be holding up quite well.

No instructions, still not worked out how to get these put in. In the end I'm having to blow in a handyman and hopfully he can work out how to fit these. The instructions provided on Amazon are too small to read and when you zoom in it is unreadable! They look and feel cheap too.

Design problem when you screw the internal post to the skirling board and then try to screw on the ball unit with covers fitted, you find the post is too short, to overcome this i inserted a spacer between the post fixing and the skirting (worked well), the unit looks really good and holds the door well, no more door slamming when i open the external door on a windy day.

I bought these for my fire doors which have chains to automatically close them so they are pretty heavy. The magnets themselves are pretty strong and hold the heavy doors fine but I seem to have received 1 out of 3 which was slightly weaker and wasnt able to hold the door..The door part has a spring on it to absorb shock so it works as both a door stop and magnetic door wedge.My only complaint is that there were no instructions present and some of the wood screws were missing but I had some lying around anyway.At 6 quid for 3 its an absolute bargain especially compared to others costing double for just 1!

Le système aurait pu être mieux pensé au niveau de la fixation.Celle-ci est très fragile car la vis qui tient le support se sort de son trou carré si on serre à peine trop fort. Je n'en rachèterai pas.

1) la fixation de la partie longue nécessité des rondelle car la vis de maintien est trop courte d'au moins 5mm2) les aimants fournis ne sont pas assez puissants
