The Little Mermaid: Accompaniment Tracks without Vocals / Complete Tracks with Guide Vocals

I love the soundtrack. We did The Little Mermaid, and were disappointed that Ursula's song (something about Good Times) was different in the score. A good song, but not what we expected.

Great CD! We used it for auditions - makes it easier for the kids! It duplicates the Original Broadway Cast Recording pretty close - not the current licensed production. There are some changes there and missing song (IE- Ursula's song)

My daughters LOVE it. Listen to vocals nonstop. Used instrumentals for auditions.

I can guarantee that if you are looking for the best karaoke style Little Mermaid Broadway CD out there, this is it! Trust me, I've looked...and looked. I'll admit, it bugs me to death that there are 9 songs missing from this album that were in the Original Broadway Cast recording; like "Storm at Sea", the Finale, and 7 out of 8 reprises. However, everything else is spot on! For an accompaniment recording, the singers play their parts really well with the exception of maybe Ursula. But more importantly, since the album doesn't come with printed lyrics for the songs, I'm pleased that the singers are very easy to understand, so learning the songs by ear is a breeze. The instrumentals are great too. It sound like the symphony was recorded in a big auditorium instead of a studio, so if you like that "live on the stage" sound, it's there. 4/5 stars for the near perfection of the whole package, but jeers for the lack of 9 songs.

This is an excellent CD and real value for money. It arrived quickly and the backing tracks are the same as the vocal tracks. Lovely to listen too. Great quality.
