Wow. As you can see from the photo, I have a large bunion. As my big toe collapses to the right when I walk most of the pressure goes on the side of the toe and he skin there is hard and sore always. I have tried every kind of protector going, but this one is by far the best! The toe cover is a super soft stretchy silicone. It fits like a glove over the toe. OMG, it's like walking on air! I did not realise how painful my big toe actually was until suddenly I can walk with no pain. My toe now has a lovely soft pad to sit on. I can not recommend this enough. I did read the reviews prior to purchase and some people say that these can split. I did a hike this week and it was as good as new after. I wore it all day at work today with my Docs and my toe was comfortable all day. I will update this review if I experience any negatives, but absolutely thrilled with these so far. Even if I had to replace them monthly, they would still be worth every penny. Going to order more in the smaller size for my dodgy second toe too.

Although it does fit over the nail I wanted to protect from the shoe pressing on it, it made the shoe too tight so made the pressur eworse

I use this product to prevent bruising of my big toe nail when playing cricket. For the last 3 years when playing cricket, I have ended up with gradual bruising throughout the season which has led to my big toe nail falling off. I bought these silicon tow covers as a recommendation from a friend and they haven't disappointed. They wrap comfortable around the toe and prevent any bruising caused by minor trauma. It is soft on the toe and I barely notice it when I have my socks and boots on. 5* for comfort. They are far from easy to clean due to the material. They get dusty and pick up dirt from the floor very quickly and it's very hard to get off without giving it quite a thorough wash. My main issue is that they send 2 silicone covers to you which are exactly the same size, both of which fit comfortably on the big toe, but any other toe it would be way way too big. They're advertised to be able to use them on other toes which I'd say just wouldn't be possible given their size. This wasn't a problem for me as I didn't need it for anything other than my big toe, but it's still poor advertising on the sellers part.

These are a good size and well made - they are "just" bits of silicon over the toe, but they fitted well and stayed put. I have UK size 10 male feet (with what I consider normal toes!).

Been using these for a couple of years now. They are by far the best ones I have bought. However the last ones were a lot smaller that the ones I have had before and ripped the first day I used them. I always order the L/XL Ordered some more, but if they are the same, I'm afraid I won't be buying anymore. Update: The pair I ordered have arrived and they are the same as the last ones. They have chopped off around half the length and the new ones only just cover my toenail... the previouse ones covered my whole toe. I've reduced the star rating to one and will not be buying anymore. Such a shame.

Wow at first they were uncomfy but after a minute I completely forgot I was wearing these gel protectors. Anyway I had a problem where shoes I bought wouldn't fit, and my toes would hit the front of the shoe whenever I took a step and it was painful so i couldn't wear my favourite pairs of shoes out. I completely forgot i was wearing these gel protectors there was no pain whatsoever and i completely forgot I was wearing the painful shoes because she literally weren't uncomfortable at all and I could finally walk at a normal speed in them! Buy it if you have this issue it will probably fix it
