I bought this because my TV has DVI and 3.5mm audio input, but no HDMI. I've been using an HDMI to DVI adapter and fortunately all but one of my sources has a 3.5mm audio out.Switching sources has been a pain, especially a WDTV, which has a non-standard analogue audio/video output, where a 3.5mm audio lead has to be inserted part-way for it to work.Unfortunately, this product failed to work. The HDMI switching was flawless, but nothing at all came out of the 3.5mm audio output. I tried every combination of every setting in my source devices, but nothing worked. Had to return it for a refund.I've since ordered an HDMI to DVI + audio adapter and a separate HDMI switcher with no "audio extract" feature.

Would have been fine, but does not work with PS4 Pro as I thought it did when I purchased it. Have returned it with no problem & purchased a different one from this seller, which is fine. Seller very helpful.

Downgrades to Stereo sound via optical.Bought to work with SONOS Playbar which has single optical input.Connecting SONOS to devices directly gives me 5.1 surround... Via this switch it is always downgrades to Stereo.Picture quality on TV also degraded via the switch (HDMI out).Will be returning.

This unit will not output/extract Dolby Digital nor DTS surround-sound as described. It has buttons on the remote "5.1", "ARC", "Bypass", nonetheless it always downgrades the input DD/DTS source to only stereo optical output. Not fit for purpose. Returned for refund.
