Good, but with design flaws.
The product itself works great. There are two issues that made me give it three stars. The number one reason is when you are done with making the coffee, you CANNOT (can't stress that enough) simply shake the filter over the trash bin to empty out the grounds. I tapped it against the side of the bin and it turned into a crinkled, dented mess. It still works, but looks like crap. Second, when you have it in the jar and put the cap and ring on to shake it, it leaks. I've tried putting Saran Wrap over the opening of the jar first, then the lid, then the ring, but it still leaks. So what I now do is just throw the grounds directly into the mason jar, seal, shake and let sit. When ready, I get another empty jar, put the filter into that, and then pour the jar with the coffee directly into the filter. Works just find that way, however, you're still left with the same coffee ground issue.I see other filters on here that give you a silicone ring to put down first to stop the leaking. Great idea!Also, since you can't tap against the bin, it leaves a ton of grounds in the filter and the only way to get them out is to rinse filter in the sink (which of course you would do anyway) but that's a ton of grounds going down you sink and settling in your pipes, unless you run a ton of water to flush them down and that's just a waste of water.So, would I buy it again? Probably not. It needs a few support 'beams' inside the filter to help keep it's shape so you can tap it again the bin and get the grounds out.

Perfect for Cold Brew!
We started making cold brew coffee and I saw this recommended on a blog. It is working perfectly in conjunction with a half gallon wide mouth mason jar. We have used 1.5 cups of coffee grounds the past couple of times and that seems like the max it can hold after been submerged in the jar. My coffee snob fiance has been impressed with the results so far!

Great for cold-brew tea
I have three of these now, and I use them with half-gallon mason jars to make cold-brew iced tea. They fit well, hold a decent amount of loose tea, and filter the sediment quite well. They can be a little tricky to clean out; I let the tea leaves dry out, knock as many as I can out into the trash, then use the sink sprayer to get the rest of the leaves. Some like to stick to the fine mesh; I use a bottle brush to knock those loose and spray them out. These are in almost constant use over the summer.

THE BEST INVESTMENT FOR ICED COFFEE IN A MASON JAR!
"Wow", all I can say is "WOW" I bought on July 24, 2018. I made my coffee on 7-30-18 @11: 30 P.M.for 18 hours + 1 day August 1, 2018 @1:30 P.M. [ I have a Mason jar a 24 oz] like the recipe that was included in the box. How you make this recipe included w/ the infuser for 4 cups of water 3/4 cup using the small[ Black scoop included w/ the kit] you need to measure 8 of these. Then 8 scoops of any type of coffee grounds, then I wrote on masking tape the date, what it is and the time. This made 3 full cups of coffee concentrate. Then I did 1/4 cup of this mixture and 1/4 cup cold spring water and add some creamer and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Mix them together and add 3 medium ice cubes in a glass. I made this perfect glass iced coffee with no coffee grounds. So smooth but very yummy. I did my happy dance in the kitchen. The grounds are so easy to clean out I threw them on my roses, then rinse out the screen, then I hand washed it with hot warm water with soap then let it air dry. I also have one more ice coffee recipe from the Food Network Magazine July/August 2013 for a "SERIOUS ICED COFFEE" For 2 drinks, stir 1 medium-grind coffee and 1 1/2 cups of room temperature water in a bowl, cover and let sit for 12 to 24 hours. Stir, then strain through a mesh sieve lined with a coffee filter { it might drip for up to an hour}. To serve, mix the coffee concentrate with equal parts cold water or milk over ice. Or refrigerate the concentrate for up to 3 days. For mocha useHershey's syrup or use Smucker's caramel ice cream syrup. Which works I know. Now I made this and used another Mason jar but for 12 oz, This came out great. You will like this also. I have pics below, Enjoy this like I did :}

PERFECT
Makes great cold brew coffee! I bought a complicated cold brew coffee maker and it's way too big and hard to manage. I discovered the Mason Jar Infuser and I love it! It's simple, stores easily, and makes great coffee. Skip the complicated cold brew devices and buy this one.

Pretty good!
Pretty simple, fits perfect. I even tilted it on the side for an hour to see if there'd be any leaks, and nothin'. It brewed cold coffee like it's meant to, fit the big mouth mason jar perfect, no leaks, no rust on the mesh or lip, and no little bits of coffee grinds floating around in the jar, so I give it a 5/5.

Gets the job done well! Just a bit of a pain to clean.
We LOVE! this product. I bought it for my partner while they were on a big cold brew coffee kick. We started making it at home using a system of half gallon mason jars, filled with the contents of a pot of coffee; 8 TBSP and 10 cups of water. Shake, sit over night in the refrigerator; longer for stronger; 12-18 hrs. Put one of the empty jars in the sink, insert the mesh sleeve (this product) and slowly poor all contents in the empty jar. Go slow and lift the filter occasionally, it takes some kind for everything to drip through. Don't pour all at once as the filter causes displacement and you will over flow. The filter catches the grinds and fills the jar with sweet, rich cold brew coffee. Perfect.The down side comes when it's time to empty the filter; a couple good shakes into the garbage gets the bulk out, but the mesh isn't sealed to the hard metal seams well and get stuck in hard to reach places, especially in the bottom. You almost have to get them individually. Not a huge deal, maybe one of those brush wands would conquer it better. Also, after about 8 months of use we did notice the solid metal parts have begun to accumulate rust; we had wash and dry everything after use so not sure how that happened, but also not too worried about it.
