Look great!
Bought two of these to house my cd/dvd/blu-rays..solid construction, easy to assemble, but found an alternative method of staged construction for the 2nd unit which worked better…Once up the units look smart.. the shelving is flexible and the pins holding each shelf are sturdy.Either side of my window they look impressive..

Avoid!
The tower lacked two dowel holes which I had to drill myself. Given the low quality particle board lots of unsightly chipping ensued.Once assembled, I discovered that the holes between the side walls and the middle partition didn't align. (and because I waited too long to assemble it, I can't return it or get a refund).Follow my advice and avoid this piece of Chinese tat. £119 down the drain.

Holds a lot of cds comfortably!
Nice looking case when in situ and holds a good amount of cds.Not easy to understand the instructions but goes together quite well.Definitely needs attaching to a wall.

Good but be careful
The unit is excellent. The instructions less so. There is one detail which is left out and that is a sticker on the center section saying "TOP" There is every chance that this section will be installed upside-down which will cause the shelves to be uneven and will entail diss-assembly of the unit to rectify. Very tricky when glue is involved. If there is an assembly area to be watched this is it. Manufacturers please think!!

Perfect size and shape for what I wanted. Not exactly a doddle to assemble.
Right first, the positives. This unit was exactly the right size, colour and shape for what I wanted, fits like a glove in the small corner of my home office/dining room and has taken all of my extensive collection of individual artist/group CDs (I still have the issue of what to do with soundtracks/musicals/compilations but this is a problem for another day), but this means I have been able to replace two shorter, mixed height units which together held only half of my collection. It looks amazing, for this reason. Now to the negatives. This is easily the worst time I have had assembling a bit of flat pack, despite being quite experienced at it. All the pieces were there and I was familiar with all the fixings, including the cap lock screws and nuts but due to some warnings from other amazon reviews, I proceeded slowly and took my time. The unit is built from the inside out so although you prepare the outer side panels first, you build the middle section first and you can't really go wrong here as the fittings only allow the pieces to go together one way. The whole thing is very wobbly and unstable though until the side panels are fitted and as they too are wobbly due to being made of two panels joined at the short end, don't expect any degree of stability or manoeuvrability until the whole thing is finished. The side panels were where I went wrong as I put them on the wrong sides and the wrong way up. Despite this the unit looked perfect until I had it in it's final resting place and tried to put the shelves in and found the holes for the brackets didn't match up. Looking at the instructions there was no way I could have known my mistake. The diagram suggested having it on it's back while you put the screws in the sides but this is just impossible as the holes are practically on floor level, so I put it on it's side, slotting in the back panels and screwing on the sides. Unfortunately this meant I couldn't see the holes for the brackets didn't match up. I think those buyers who put the unit together perfectly first time were probably just lucky - they had a 50% chance. As glue was involved and I'd already removed a lot of the stickers marking the parts, I had to work quickly but systematically to dismantle the sides and swap them over, leading to a wobbly unit again. The cam locks came apart at this point and the sides were in four pieces again. When I re-assembled the unit properly, it was definitely less stable than it was before but now it's in place against the wall and won't be moving anytime soon, I don't suppose it matters. This problem could have been averted by the sides being one piece of wood. I recently built a CD tower for my sister-in-law, bought from Argos, the same height as this one, and the sides were each one piece of wood, so I really don't know why these had to be in two bits. It definitely made it more of a challenge.Overall I would recommend this product but be warned. Don't make the same mistakes I made.
