10 out of 10 - amazing antenna
The interesting thing to note about wifi is that *each* 3 db is a doubling in signal strength. Therefore this will double or even treble your signal strength - which makes a world of difference to your browsing speeds. This is a dual band antenna, so will work with older 54 mbps and 150 mbps and the new 5 GHz networks. The new AC networks work at high speed over short distances (30-40 foot), so this antenna ensures that even if you're 2 rooms away, you get the maximum speed from your new routers. If you're over say 50 foot away, then you'll probably find the 2.4 ghz network will be your best option. The benefit of the older 2.4 Ghz networks, is that they travel much longer distances (so that you can sit in your back garden). You'll get 300 mbps easily from your garden with this antenna. Luckily this antenna offers both frequencies, so you're future proof. It also means if you go to Starbucks or your a hotel and they have an old wifi system, you can still connect. The maximum speed of a g network is only 54 mbps, but the N networks are either 150 or 300 mbps. The AC networks offer over 850 mbps. The point here, is that if the router is only transmitting at 54 mbps, then the antenna can only match that speed, it can't improve it if the router itself is on a zimmerframe. I know, life isn't fair! I have 100% link and 100% signal strength on my AC router... which I couldn't get before (as it's through 2 foot walls). It works great on long distance wifi - or in older houses. Plus it lets you work in your garden if you want to. It will bring an older laptop upto date with the latest and highest speeds. Because the antenna works with both 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz networks, this means you're future proof for the new home routers and capable of working in your back garden and over long distances.

Nice, works great.
Not bad. I use it with an Alfa USB adapter to track the general location of rogue access points and client devices using Kismet on a custom-made wifi pineapple from a gl.inet router.

Great Speed boost
Fantastic aerial. my problem, i have a mini PC in my gym with a standard wifi aerial attached (achieving roughly 20-30Mbps) in stalled this and angled it to point in the general diection of my router and the result was over 200Mbps) - couldnt be happier.

Rubbish
No improvement in power, range or speed over the small aerial supplied with my travel router. All in all, a waste of money.

REALLY WORKS - see comparison with other antennas
This really works very well. I have a WiFi security camera in a shed a long distance from my in-house Router. I have tried several external aerials. All worked for a time but despite being advertised as 'external' they all quickly rusted up and lost efficiency or stopped working completely. The original camera antenna did not work, nor did a much longer omni-directional aerial. In fact this is my second purchase of this item. I attached the first directional antenna directly to the camera inside the shed, and it worked immediately and consistently. Highly recommended.

Operates pretty much as expected
To be honest I wasn't expecting miracles. I purchased it purely as a cheap directional antenna so that I could concentrate a beam from one of the radios on my router in one direction (to reach into the garden). Essentially his is not an active signal booster or extender it simply directs the signal so that all the energy is in one direction rather than 50% going into the neighbour's house etc. In my case (based on very unscientific measurements using a phone app) I'd say that the signal way about 25% stronger in the beam and significantly weaker outside of it - which was what I was after. I did find however that this was restricted to the 2.4Ghz band and I got little or no improvement with 5Ghz (although it did make it directional of course). I note that the price has now gone up. I'm OK with having paid £11.50 but £15 is probably stretching it a bit. There obviously becomes a point where a wifi extender or active antenna becomes a far more sensible investment, especially if your router has multiple radios. In my case I only needed to direct one signal and things would have been slightly different if I needed to do all three (£45 will get you a decent extender).

1 bar coverage to 2-3 bar coverage
I attached 2 of these to punch through a couple of walls so i can doom scroll on my phone on a night and it seems to be working a treat! Im also probably broadcasting my wifi network halfway down the street now too.

Absolutely fantastic range. Must buy!
Bought this to increase the range on my Draytek wireless router and they are phenomenal and extremely cheap. Have since bought another and will eventually have the complete set of 3! Update: in hindsight DO NOT BUY. this was giving me a lot of problems that I was blaming on other things
