I have taken video and snap shots with this camera. Great pictures at 1080p! The owner manual does not include how to display video from camera to TV with HDMI cable. I had to call Amazon. They did not know how to start video. For the record one has to choose a video. Put it on the 3" screen camera. Hook up HDMI cable to TV. Then push the power on button, above the mode button to play video on TV screen.Cons: The camera would be better if you could watch the 3" screen while the video is playing. It blacks out when you hook it to HDMI port.Another spare battery would be nice as one can only record two hours or so on one charged battery.For the price I paid a couple of 32 G san dics would have been nice with the package. It comes with none.Again the instruction manual needs to be more complete. It has left out some functions of the camera. Like 3-5 bursts of photos. One has to search for that part and how to use it? A small camera bag to carry all extras..wide angle lens, shot gun microphone, batteries and charger cables would be nice too.This camera takes great video and snapshots. Really clear video and snaps. The uploading to computer is so simple just put san disc in computer. It works with windows 10. I am looking to burn video of a wedding/ reception to hard dics for all that want a small reminder of this special day.I feel I got alot of camera and extras with this package. Well worth the investment. So far.

I waffled for a while on this one.CONS: The quality of video is pretty bad. There's NO AUTOFOCUS. There's 'face rec.' but it's barely there. The lenses are OK, but the macro is a glorified magnifying glass (in other words, if you're going to film something small, you have to be an inch from it, as opposed to a real macro lens which will allow zoom and the ability to be more than an inch from your subject. Focus is, again, dependent on the lens' focus, and not the camera itself. The wide angle screws onto the macro, and just affords a slightly wider view. The night vision and remote control will not work with the wide angle lens on. It is essentially a superfluous add on.I got this during a flash deal, so I paid around $115. This has the quality of a very cheap camera. There's no way this is HD or 1080p.The camera arrived with a FINGERPRINT on the MAIN LENS. The lens that is on the camcorder itself. Unacceptable.PROS: The night vision works very well, which is what I bought it for. The macro lens is at least interesting for filming very small things that are not scared of a camera (my birds are not good subjects). The case is OK, the lenses came in a felt bag, and came with lens caps and bottoms. The macro and wide angle screw together as one, and do not have their own caps and bottoms, so you have to store them screwed together. The main lens' cap does not fit the macro lens, so you have no way to protect that while on the camera.I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the camera, and the very clunky User Interface. A touchscreen is useless when the menus are garbage.You cannot use a Micro SD with adapter. You have to use a SD card itself. My mac does not seem to recognize this camera as a camera, and so I have to pull everything off manually. The battery is average at best. The audio seems ok. The microphone plugs in really awkwardly at the back under a rubber panel. The cord is short so I'm not really sure if it's much use. The camera itself is small, light, and the hand band is OK, but a little large for some reason, despite adjusting it as best I can.TL;DR: garbage camera and image quality, accessories ok, needs SD card (not micro with adapter), worst UI, night vision pretty damn good.I wanted to return this but honestly can't be arsed. I got what I paid for, $100 of camcorder and lenses. The only saving grace is the remote and the IR night vision. Otherwise it is the absolute bottom of the camcorder bucket.

The media could not be loaded.  Camcorder does everything as advertised. The negative reviews are perhaps from those that had expectations of a professional grade camera from this low cost alternative. There are no bells and whistles like auto-focus or image stabilization. Zoom offering is digital so you will never get the same quality as an optical zoom.But the wide-angle lens is perfect for scenic shots and the camera works great in low-light conditions. Looks like amazon allows only one video per review so I won't be able to share my other videos.The macro lens works well for short close up shots and with the external microphone which makes it a good option for recording close-up interviews.Overall this is an affordable option for amateur/casual photography and recording.Video quality is best when used with a tripod and the built in microphone captures sound nicely.Battery life has been fine for my usage. About 60 mins of recording or photos or viewing videos. There is no removable battery but it charges in less than an hour over usb. Make sure to take your power bank if you plan on using this for a long time.The remote is nice but I didn't find much use for it yet. I suppose it would be useful also when connected to a monitor/TV via HDMI.The description says 32gb max but I was able to use my 64gb Class 10 card and record about 20gbs just fine after formatting using the built in tool. Not sure if it would stop after using 32gb.Upon connecting to Windows 10, there is an option to use the device as Mass Storage or a Camera. The camera option makes it a webcam to use on Skype or record a video. Mass Storage option mounts the SD card for transferring the files (MOV for video and JPG for photos).Overall, we are happy with the purchase and plan to use it more for our kid's recitals and family outings.

It seems to be a great working cam corder. This is my Youtube starter kit and I think it will be great.
