BlackBerry PRIV 32GB 4G Black - smartphones (Single SIM, Android, NanoSIM, EDGE, GPRS, GSM, HSPA+, LTE)

was not sure if I would like Blackberry's first full android phone. I really like it. I use it instead of my 7" tablet to read books, email is fine, screen is great.

The device is not even British, it’s American it came with an American charging brick which is of no use to me in Britain, the device isn’t new as the charging port it filthy and will not charge I’m not very happy as there’s nothing I can do with the device only most likely bin it. DO NOT BUY!! UPDATE: upon having to take the phone apart to see why it doesn’t charge properly I can confirm that it DOESN’T support wireless charging.

Looked almost brand new. Came in original box with original accessories. My only issue with this particular phone is on the physical keyboard where the Y and Z have been swapped around. Battery drains pretty fast also. Please note the STV100-4 (which is the model supplied) does not support wireless charging. I will be contacting the seller regarding the physical keyboard issue.

I am a BlackBerry enthusiast (this is my third BlackBerry, fourth if I count the one that I got to my wife) and this is my first Android. The pros are: the value for money, the physical qwerty keyboard and the camera The come are: spell checker for multiple languages is not as good as the one in my old Z30, battery could last a little bit longer (I reach the end of the day with 10%) and the DTEK app does not work properly (eg it does not recognise my phone as a Blackberry)

This phone as nice as it look,it will disapoint you! The phone gets hot very often and very slow, screen just freeze all the time leaving you with zero patience. It will randomly turn itself off alot of times and will take about 20-30 minutes to restart. It's not worth it...

Does all that I need plus a qwerty keyboard and large screen!

I brought it for work and definitely not worth the money. Battery lasts less than half a day and the google app would never update so constantly sent notifications, and wouldn’t let you uninstall. So many better options on here

Bueno, mediré mis palabras, porque las valoraciones sobre los equipos Blackberry, en especial su nuevo, y único con Android, generan bastante polémica. Lo dicho, intentaré ser objetivo. Procesador: Va como un cohete. Evidentemente, no es tan potente como otros de gama alta en el mercado, pero es más que suficiente para todo lo que puedas necesitar. Aplicaciones. Echo de menos muchas aplicaciones de BB10. Por algunas, pagué, y ahora nos las puedo disfrutar. Pero... las aplicaciones esenciales de productividad está ahi, y funcionan mejor, porque están mejor integradas con Android. Se acabó eso de Patchear archivos APK para después transferirlos (sideloading), lo que considero una locura en términos de seguridad. La experiencia en general es mucho mejor. Bateria. Es una gran bateria, pero la Priv es glotona... En cualquier caso, debemos recordar que Blackberry ha desarrollado capas adicionales de seguridad y un encriptado muy robusto, que consume energía. Se puede llegar al final del día, pero si lo usas, apenas te quedará un 20%. Es importante considerar comprar un cargador rapido 2.0 ... hay muchos por 10 eurillos. El que viene con la Priv es uno normal de carga lenta (2.5 horas aprox frente a 1 hora con la carga rapida). Es importante tener en cuenta que ahora usarás mucho más el movil: todas las aplicaciones van bien, y estarán siempre actualizadas. La pantalla: una auténtica maravilla. Visibilidad brutal, luminosa, definición extrema. Mis amigos que tienen un iPhone 6 se quedan babeando al ver su calidad, reconocen inmediatamente que es mejor que la del iPhone. Teclado. No es el mejor de la historia de Blackberry y es más pequeño que el de la Passport (que considero demasiado grande, todo sea dicho). Me estoy acostumbrando a él, y la relación va mejorando dia a dia. Es muy dinámico y eficaz para introducir contraseñas sin perder los nervios, algo muy habitual con los teclados táctiles. Honestamente útil para editar textos y escribir correos electronicos que requieren seriedad y precisión. La funcion capacitiva me encanta, y ahora se pueden pasar las fotos con el teclado, hacer zoom y moverte por las fotos sin necesidad de tocar la pantalla (con nuestros sucios dedos). En la Priv 2, si existe, recomendaría que sea 0.5 cm más ancho, apurando de alguna forma. Acabados y materiales. Son acabados premium, pero se trata de un slider, y eso siempre genera un equipo más endeble. Aconsejo la funda original de cuero (flip case). Va de lujo, ahorra energia, y permite controlar muchas cosas a través de la ventanita, sin tener que estar desbloqueando el movil. Precio: Woow, que sablazo. Pero me siento satisfecho por cada euro, porque valoro lo que proporciona Blackberry en términos de diseño y seguridad, y ahora puedo compatibilizarlo con el uso normal de aplicaciones esenciales para la vida y el trabajo. En general, recomiendo mucho la compra. Si es la primera vez que usas un QWERTY... pruebalo en tienda. Saludos!!

By far the best phone I ever had. I always require a physical keyboard because it's works better for me than any digital keyboard but I like Android OS too! The Priv it's upgradable to Android 6.1, wish is still pretty decent by today. Also the phone it's decently fast and have enough memory to handle everything I have throw at it for now. Battery duration it's pretty good considering i'm a very heavy user. The only thing I wish on this phone is Android 7.0. I see the phone specs and I don't understand why Blackberry dont make it upgradeable since the specs can handle Android 7.0. Works perfect with ClaroPR (Puerto Rico) at full LTE speeds.

Ich habe das Blackberry Priv als Ersatz für mein Sony Xperia Pro gekauft. Ich wollte auf jeden Fall wieder ein Smartphone mit physischer Tastatur und Android System. Neu war mir das Priv eigentlich zu teuer. Ich hatte allerdings Glück und hab es Mitte Juli am Prime Day bei den Amazon Warehouse Deals zum absoluten Schnäppchenpreis erstanden. Ich war zuerst skeptisch mir ein Smartphone zu kaufen, das als 'gebraucht' eingestuft wird, dachte mir aber, dass bei 30 Tagen Rückgaberecht das Risiko gering sei. Ich habe es nicht bereut. Man sah zwar, dass der Karton schon mal geöffnet und wieder zugeklebt worden war, aber sonst waren das Gerät und die Verpackung makellos. Nun zum Gerät selbst: Das Priv fühlt sich sehr hochwertig an. Die matte, leicht gummiert wirkende Rückseite ist sehr griffig und es lässt sich auch nichts eindrücken. Alles fühlt sich stabil und gut verarbeitet an. Das Display hat eine tolle Auflösung und schöne Farben und es nimmt kaum Fingerabdrücke an, zumindest wenn man nicht grad mit klebrigen Händen drangeht. Ich muss es ganz selten mal abwischen. Der Akku hält bei mir 1-2 Tage, je nach Nutzung. Das Priv wird mal ein bisschen warm beim Aufladen, aber keinesfalls heiß. Die physische Tastatur lässt sich sauber aufschieben, ohne knarzen und wackeln. Allerdings kann sie die querliegende Tastatur meines alten Sony nicht toppen. Diese lag bequemer in der Hand und die Größe und Anordnung der Tasten war, für meine Empfinden, einfach besser. Man muss sich beim BB Priv erstmal eine neue Handhaltung beim Tippen suchen, da es durch die Länge bei ausgezogener Tastatur doch ein bisschen kopflastig wird. Die Tasten selbst haben einen guten Druckpunkt, und dass man die Wortvorschläge mit Wischgesten in den Text schnippen kann, ist eine feine Sache :) Die Software läuft flüssig. Die vorinstallierten Apps sind teils nützlich und teils hab ich sie durch bessere ersetzt oder meine Apps vom alten Smartphone weiterverwendet. Die Blackberry DTEK-App find ich ne gute Sache, man hat damit sicher im Blick, welche Apps auf was zugreifen. Die Kamera macht sehr gute Bilder, allerdings waren auch schon die Fotos meines alten Sony überraschend gut. Mein Fazit: Die Mängel, die in den anderen Rezensionen beschrieben wurden, kann ich nicht bestätigen, aber vielleicht hatte ich einfach nur Glück. Ich würde das Blackberry Priv auf jeden Fall jederzeit wieder kaufen.

Ottimo prodotto, soprattutto dopo l'aggiornamento ad Android 6.01 che ha risolto i problemi di "impuntamento" che avevo con la versione precedente. L'ottima fotocamera è ora supportata da un buon software che permette di fotografare anche completamente in manuale. Venendo da altri Blackberry con sistema BB10 mi sarei aspettato una maggiore integrazione delle applicazioni con il sistema operativo, ad esempio mancano un file manager ed un lettore audio video ed il visualizzatore di foto.. certo se ne trovano centinaia nello store Google ma avrei preferito qualcosa realizzato da BB che rendesse il tutto più omogeneo. La batteria porta tranquillamente a sera e la capacità di ricezione in linea con la tradizione BB, prende ovunque. Purtroppo in linea con la tradizione anche il peso, quasi 200g anche se il telefono è ben bilanciato. La scocca posteriore non è completamente rigida e causa qualche scricchiolio impugnando il telefono. Stupenda la tastiera fisica. Decisamente eccessivo il prezzo.
