Extension Lead with Superior Surge Protection

This extension cable is exactly what I needed, it is 13A rated meaning it can handle a total load of 3250W without fusing - this is the maximum you are going to get from any extension cable/surge protector. It also has 5 USB ports of up to 40W total load, with up to 2.4A per device. I tested the voltage output and found that it stays within USB spec and delivers reliable power for charging your phones, tablets etc. Obviously the Surge Protection means this will also protect your electronics from damage in case of power surges. Recently a power surge hit my Virgin router, I didn't have a surge protector attached and also by connection took out the four devices connected to it through Ethernet, my Virgin TiVo Box, my computer and two network switches costing me ~£140. It's just not worth having your expensive electronics connected without a Surge Protector... Overall this surge protector provides exactly what I need, and if you consider buying a 5-port USB charging hub (~£10) and a surge protector(~£10) separately it's going to cost more than this anyway. I'd recommend this.

Lovely quality 6 way extension. I was looking for a 6 way extension with USB ports to use with my hobby of remote control models. A lot of the lithium batteries used in my models need to be charged either by USB or my plugging into a dedicated lithium battery charger. All these things need to be plugged into sockets or USB ports around my workstation. This extension provided all the outlets I need. The total output for all the USB ports is 8 amps, plenty of power for charging 4 tablets like the iPad at the same time at 2 amps each port. The 6 way extension is rated at 13amps or 3250 watt, you can safely use this extension for all your power needs in the office or computer desk. The extension is protected from power surges due to lightning storms, perfect for using with more sensitive electrical equipment. The quality is lovely, it looks good, I'm very pleased. This never arrived but Amazon gave me a refund . However already have one and they are great hence why i wanted another one.

Purchased to install to the underneath of my office desk, along with a cable-tidy tray, this does the job pretty well. Sturdy materiels used to manufacture, plus more than adequate length of power cable from the mains, and the 5 USB ports come in really handy for charging my phones, iPad, iPod etc., this saved me using one of the mains sockets for a multiple USB adapter. Only one downfall with it, which was not highlighted in the item images or text - there are no mounting holes on the back as there are with the vast majority of extension leads, so much so that I automatically expected them to be there. In the attached image you can see I have had to use velcro cable ties, using screws to attach them to the underneath of the desk, to hold the main panel to the underneath of the desk (this is a temporary solution until I can make some proper brackets to hold it in place). All in all a great product, just a shame about the mounting holes.

This plug feels solid, well made and is large enough to accommodate a variety of plugs. the 4 USB sockets allow for lots of charging options all in addition to the 8 standard sockets. With a good warranty offer I hope this will last as long as it appears it should from the build quality. It does suffer from large sockets consuming more space and blocking the neighbouring socket, but that is no different to any of the power strips which don't have rotating sockets so cant complain, just adding it here so people know. Only thing that could make this product better is screw recesses on the rear so that it could be mounted on a wall.

I bought this as I was fed up every Christmas making up a board with lots of trailing sockets attached for our christmas lighted village, this fits the bill, the sockets are nicely spaced out and the top row is the inverse of the bottom one so all of those nigly problems where one cannot use all of the sockets due to bulk of transformers etc. is now solved. we have 10 Lemax Village "houses" so with this device and one other MEROSS smart three gang socket I Have done away with multiple sockets and timers. the USB sockets at the end will not be used but they are an added bonus as the smart socket has them as well, so a great multi socket outlet which will only be used at Christmas time. (Time will tell)

This is a staple purchase if you want a mix between cable management, aesthetics, and functionality. I did a quick before & after of all my plugs and how they looked, now obviously the ‘after’ makes them look spread out a bit but that won’t be an issue since I’ll be getting a cable organiser box soon. But even as it is, it’s super clean and overall a very good product. I love the breathing room it comes with, as the 6 plug sockets and 5 USB ports would allow me to connect many devices at once. The sleek black aesthetic goes well with my overall theme in the room and it doesn’t stand out either. The little switch is great to have if you can’t be bothered walking all the way to the main plug socket, since you can just turn the power off from the switch on the extension :) Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone who (obviously) wants an extension cable to reach their devices, but also to have a very clean and functional aesthetic.
