Portable list
After a brief explanation of GI and GL the book is divided into sections. Easy to look up and check details of different food items.The important thing to remember is that individual responses can vary too. Certainly useful.

Easy to understand.
Set out really well and easy to understand. Good colour photos to accompany. A nice little book particularly helpful if starting out or interested in low G.I foods (as I am). Not sure how compares to books that are specifically about foods and carb counting (eg. Carbs & Calories book) eg if diabetic or prediabetic but clearly there is similarity and both suitable I'm sure if you are carb counting only to lose weight

Lots of important information in pocket guide
My only criticism is that the book tells you how to calculate the GL ratings of foods by multiplying the GI of a food by the amount of carbohydrates in a typical serving and dividing by 100 , but there are NO GI figures to use , only L M & H , thus as far as I can see the calculations are impossible using this book !To me these figures are very important as one that has recently reversed my diabetes in just 3 months ! and want to maintain this good progress . Have I missed something ?

Very easy to use!
It does exactly what it says on the tin! A very quick reference for the supermarket (basically high low medium) and then further info if you want it on opposite page.I don’t want to read 6 pages before I know the GI of a food as some guides make you do. I just love it! Pocket size too.

Mixed review
Fantastic array of foods with low, medium or high GI and GL ratings, however, if like me you need to know the GI numerical value or want to accurately calculate GL, this book won't help. Lovely handy size at approx 5" x 3.5"

Useful information
What a great book it’s full of information and is easily understood. Lots of different foods listed with how good or bad they are for you if you are pre diabetes or diabetic.

good little book
being diabetic for a good 20yrs, I love this book as it was recommended to me by a lady in my Slimming World group, so will be telling everyone I can they need this little book as it's small enough to take with you in your Hand bag
