Good- but there are precautions
For some reason this is the only hair removal cream that works for me. I don't have sensitive skin, but the ones made for normal skin don't do anything, and oddly enough this one which is for sensitive skin works perfectly. There are a few tricks with hair removal creams that are important to remember. Do not use until about 3 hours after taking a bath/shower or if you've had contact with steam (on your face) . And after use do not wash off with warm or hot water as that will lead to irritation, wash with lukewarm or cold water, the same goes as before. If you have to wash your face before using the product e.g to remove make-up then again only use cold water this way your pores are closed to the product wont burn you.

Highly recommend.
Would highly recommend this product. It does cause a tiny bit of irritation directly after it’s been washed off, however this disappears very quickly after moisturising, and is probably just down to my relatively sensitive skin. The odour of the product is acceptable and it's very effective at removing the excess fur on my face which appeared a few months after I’d finished chemo treatment. I have only needed to use twice in the past 3-4 months.

I think it needs to be left on longer than stated
I have very sensitive skin but thought I would try it as other reviewers have said it didn't irritate their skin. Well, it didn't irritate my skin (I left it on for the maximum amount of time) but it didn't do a lot - I think it removed some hair but not much. I think I would need to leave it on a lot longer for it to work but given my sensitive skin I didn't want to risk it. So it may work well for some people, just not for me.

Does the job, but leaves skin red and sensitive
Just used for the first time. It was very effective on upper lip and chin, needing only the 5 minutes as per instructions. It did leave my skin looking red and feeling sensitive and dry for a few hours afterwards though.

Highly recommended.
I had used the same facial hair remover for years and thought it was normal for it to sting and be bright red afterwards, then I bought this. It takes about 7 mins and completely removes all hairs but the best thing is that after it is not painful nor red. I will not be changing back and wish I had tried this one years ago. Recommended.

Buying for men's beard? Read this first
Bought this for my beard hoping for easier removal - got quite the opposite. The experience is VERY different from normal shaving, but not in a good way.I left the cream on for about 10 minutes as suggested, maybe a few minutes more. Nothing would scrape off. So started shaving as normal. The 5-blade razor keeps sliding off, removing next to nothing. Even after thoroughly washing it all off my face (which was a struggle in itself) the razor keeps sliding as though there were some irremovable layer of coating left behind. Like some kind of sticky goo. Finally managed to remove all the hair the normal way but with about 5x the effort. I have used different hair removal creams in the past, even leaving them on for 15-20 minutes, but they never burned my skin - until I tried Louis Marcel. Nothing too bad, but a definite burning sensation, makes one think what the hell is in this. Even worse, applying after shave after this puppy will make you shake with pain, avoid if you can. Got aloe vera gel on right now hoping for some recovery. There is one plus side that I must add in all fairness. I do like to have my skin ultra-smooth (well, not "like", it's just more practical) so I even shave backwards, at least all around my lips. The use of this cream did make it easier and less painless to shave backwards, but then don't all hair-removal creams?All-in-all this cream does not do what it says on the tin. I have more brands to test, with the ultimate goal of inhibited (or even stopped) growth, but this product seems to be useless for pretty much everything. I will NOT be using the rest of the tub, goes straight in the bin, worst hair-removal cream so far. Not recommended.

I have used this product for a good few years without any kind of skin problem/reaction but ...
I have used this product for a good few years without any kind of skin problem/reaction but recently, it's started to burn my skin around the top lip and chin area. I've tended to leave it on for an extra five or so minutes as I have thick, stubborn hair and it's almost always been fine. I'm wondering whether or not any ingredients have been removed or added in this product which is causing the issue. I do feel frustrated by it as Louis Marcel cream was discontinued in shops years ago and I was lucky to have found it on Amazon and at such good prices. Other hair (cream) removals available in shops aren't effective in my opinion. They are also quite expensive, especially as you get very little cream compared to Louis Marcel creams. Hope the makers sort it!

Very good
Good! I have tried other sensitive cream and it makes my skin burn and pop leaving scabs and soreness & a numb feeling. This tingled slightly after 5 mins and i took it off and coated the skin in coconut oil. No redness or burning & totally smooth!
