My son wanted snow camo for his scout camp trunk…found this stencil and it did a great job. I primed with kilz interior/exterior primer, bought some gloss exterior paint samples from Lowe’s and got to work. First, I used painters tape to anchor the stencil. Using a foam roller, I painted over the entire stencil and immediately peeled it off, repositioned, and repeated painting until it was complete. it took about an hour to finish the trunk on all sides then an hour to wait between coats. Some of the time had to do with figuring out how to lay the stencil so the tape points weren’t touching previously painted spots and at first I thought that rotating the stencil would prevent it from looking like it had a repeat…don’t bother…get as close as you can to the previous spot and keep going. By the end of the day, I was pretty beat, thank god my other scout wanted hers a solid color.Quality job, there was some bleed through as you can see if you really look at the pics…but I didn’t feel that it really mattered given that the rough edges would look appropriate. If I had wanted I could have taken my time to get a better finish.Clean up- better to wait until the paint is dry and use a paint scraper to carefully scrape it off…I found that easier then trying to wipe off half wet paint.Future use-I’m saving these in case my son ever gets the idea to stencil again but this time he will be doing it…they will probably last a long time.

This is great for spraying small objects because the pattern is small. It works good & I'd buy again.
