My family moved out of the city and into more rural area. We were absolutely delighted to be out in nature and particularly we noticed the many variety of bird. It's like having a national geographic show right in our back yard. We initially had a pair of handheld binoculars however it was hard for my 7 year old to use. I am definitely not an expert in telescopes but we are having so much fun with this one. It was really easy to put together and start viewing birds right away. We were amazed on how clear the view was bringing this birds so up and close. It's more user friendly for my son. It comes with a tripod and a phone adapter to record what we see.  My son and I have bonded with this telescope. We even started a book to identify the different types of birds. Great telescope!

We purchased this initially for our 11 year old nephew who is really getting to enjoy the outdoors and spotting nature. It's a good basic alternative that he can handle and in fact, preferred over using binoculars since he only has to train one eye on the subject.For us, it's also a nice alternative to carrying a bulky large field scope such as the Celestron C70 MiniMak. One bright, clear days, a monocular is no problem with gathering light and a decent field of view. This one is a reasonable cost, easy to manage the focus, and comes with a nice case, strap, and decent lens covers which makes it a great hiking companion.Using thread mount, it can also be stabilized with a tripod/monopod to give you a steadier focus/aim for tricky subjects in the distance.Overall, we are pleased with the scope and would recommend.

Bught this for the higher zoom for distance objects. Looks like it would work, but had a very difficult time getting the phone to sit well in the holder and to also line up for the zoom lens. It was a battle that I lost just about everytime. I didn't try it on older iPhone and it worked fine with just the zoom and holding it up to your eye. Never did get a decent picture as you had to focus the zoom for the camera. I even used a tri-pod to help and it didn't work out. Product wasn't even close to meeting advertised specifications. Low zoom and not very clear view.

This thing is a cheap piece of junk. First one broke trying to take a picture through it. The second one just as cheap broke while trying to put the attachment on to it. For this price obviously you get what you pay for… but I would also expect to get a few successful uses before it breaks.I bought this with a pair of 30x binoculars, and the binoculars have WAY more zoom and a better focus, for half the price. Don't get ripped off.

The material is very good, the hand feels comfortable, and the vision is clear. I like it, cheap price.

Possibly the worst purchase I've made on Amazon. I can think of inadvertent purchases that were more useful than this piece of trash.The eye cap broke off while I was trying to focus using the phone attachment within two weeks. Now the entire thing doesn’t focus properly. It was a good product until it broke.Doesn't focus worth a damn and you'd NEVER get your phone attached to make it any clearer.Confusing and useless. Piece of JUNK!

This is so much moor than I expected. It has an amazing picture. I literally can see the moon like I was looking through a telescope. Highly recommend. I bought 2.
