Good value goat hair brush set.
I bought these as a low cost option for those in our art club attending a watercolour workshop using Hake brushes. Not all wished to buy their own Hake brushes, so these were an ideal alternative for us to provide. I'd used them before and they are of reasonable quality, although the pins through the ferules do eventually rust. Some hair shedding, but minimal.

Good for varnish
Really nice bushes to use, the wooden handle feels great and the bristles are soft and easy to apply wood finishes with. It was perfect for varnishing a guitar neck with and achieving a great finish. Only issue is that some of the bristles do fall out, thankfully given the nature of use I was able to remove them from the varnish

Great Brush for the price
It has been a couple of months since I purchased these brushes and I have subjected them to daily use. The small one is looking a little dog eared but the two larger ones are still going strong. For watercolour work I have found that they keep their bristles remarkably well for such a cheep brush. I've even used the large one for applying exhibition varnish with no ill effects, with brushes this cheap you don't need to be worried about spoiling them. You really can pay more and get less, double thumbs up.

Great for watercolor
I bought this for the 1 inch brush for use in watercolour. It is super soft and leaves amazing expressive marks. It doesn't absorb as much pigment and water as I expected but that suits me as its way to make good dry brush strokes. There is absolutely no spring to the hairs but it's possible to use the corner of the brush for some quite thin strokes. The brush itself is very light and easy to maneuver however the wood of the handle is a poorly finished and just thin piece of pine but it seems strong enough. I did lose 3 or 4 hairs when I opened the package but nothing since then and I've abused it a bit already.
