SealsExtreme Tour Ver. II Kayak Sprayskirt

Repelled water. We paddled from Port Onida in the lake Michigan shoreline to North Manitou island summer of 2022 and we were able to successfully roll with this skirt as well.Have been very happy with seals brand kayak skirts and covers. Personally I like the neoprene covers especially well, but they are very hard to find. The neoprene skirts are better too, but this works better than say a nylon one.

I just received this Seals spray skirt and tried it out this weekend. I have a Current Designs Expedition and always used my old 1.7 nylon sprays skirts which seemed to work fine. I looked my kayak up and found it was supposed to use a 1.4. I didn't believe it, but ordered what they said anyway. They got it right. I understand neoprene spray skirts are typically much harder to attach than nylon but this is by far easier than my nylon skirts. A reviewer said their spray skirt gouged them when they paddle because the plastics bits dug into them. I think that may depend on the pfd you wear. My pfd is an Atral YTV (I just bought it four weeks ago and have put over 100 comfortable miles on it) and it causes no issues with this or my nylon spray skirts. I have less than 10 miles on this one so time will tell how it wears but I'm happy so far.
