GoSystem QP8088H Quick Pro Auto Power Torch

My blowtorch arrived promptly at 8 days after ordering it, securely wrapped, and professionally boxed within. The leaflet enclosed is written in excellent English and offers good instruction on use. One caution I must mention is that when first installing the gas bottle by screwing it onto the torch body, be careful not to cross thread the aluminium body threads by the more durable threads on the steel gas bottle. I found them stiff for the first few connect / disconnections. Everything was soon fine, just like the brass threaded American made torches that I have used a lot.The igniter took 2 or 3 attempts to fire the flame up when I first used the torch, but now works first time every time! It is so convenient to turn on the gas to a preset level and ignite the device with just one press of a trigger. And you can release this just as quickly or lock down the mechanism.This is a very well made blowtorch, and brazes small jobs easily. For more difficult jobs Mapp gas is a little hotter than propane, about 37% dearer, but may make the proverbial difference. Soldering bigger plumbing fittings is always easy as this flows at a much lower temperature.Plumbers like this type of unit because of the speed of operation and the high heat output from the swirl flame. But bear in mind the height of the assembled unit: mine measured 533 millimetres or 21 inches total in height when ready for use.Yeah, I love this! Really!

I have started to rip out the 10mm piping for my central heating and replacing it with 15mm. I used this blow torch on solder ring Yorkshire fittings and it was simple to use and up to standard. Reasonably priced also.

I bought this to replace my Superfire 2 which broke and could not be repaired after only 12 months of light use. You can tell this torch is not quite as well made, and not quite as powerful. It also suffers with a loss of flame concentration after a few minutes of constant use.Having got the negatives out if the way, it is still working and easily good enough for plumbing duties. Oh, and it's half the price of the overpriced Superfire torch.

Bought this blow torch to use on seized bolts on a car. Worked a treat, good flame control and easy to use. Bought map gas as suggested by the manufacturer which produces a good amount of heat.

Worked well when I first used it, but then I turned it off and it wouldn't let the gas through again. I got a replacement and will have to see how that one works.Now the second one has stopped working, after 1 month and 5 minutes use. The bottle is almost full and the gas does not get through, regardless of how much I adjust with the valves. Absolute junk, avoid at all costs.Now the returns window is closed, so I contacted support and got a full refund and a return QR code.

Easy to use sturdy and reliable. Good flame and better than my old bernzomatic.Had it for a year now rusty button but other than that, glad I purchased it

Works as should writing this review after a year or so after purchase. Used numerous times, safely stored and works every time. Cheaper than the highstreet shops by a big margin. Great for stuck bolts on cars
