Appearances can be deceiving
I was very dubious and disappointed when these gloves arrived. I thought they were too thin and felt cheap. However, I used them on an overnight shift taking apart a large show and these gloves were excellent. They were tested on everything, carrying flooring, undoing bolts, carrying steel, picking up rubbish etc. They are thick enough to act as a second skin protecting your hands from the scrapes, scratches and splinters associated with this sort of work, but thin enough so that your hands don't get excessively hot and you still maintain a good level of dexterity. They don't feel particularly grippy but I had no problems when carrying a variety of different materials.I would have been happy if they had just lasted the night but on inspection, there is some wear to the palms but nothing that means they couldn't be used again and again.I am realistic that they may not last years but then I have 12 pairs for less than £1 a pair so I don't need them too! In fact they are so good I carry a pair round with me in the car and my bag just in case!Overall really pleased! Positive reviews were deserved!Update October 2016:I have now been using the gloves for over a year for various purposes and thought I would update my thoughts.I still think these gloves are excellent and represent great value for money. I use them for decorating, gardening, work purposes and general day to day jobs that would otherwise get my hands dirty etc.The main update to my last review is that I have since compared these to the latex covered gloves from a different manufacturer on similarly tasks to those described in my original review. These gloves came out on top, as although the grip is smoother than the latex version, the latter makes my hands sweat a lot more and thus your hands slip in the gloves making carrying loads dangerous.I still value these gloves as a second skin, preventing the grazes, scrapes and nicks you get through manual tasks and while any glove will remove an element of dexterity from bare hands, I can still use them to tie cloths to bars in theatre which is a good test of how dexterous you can be in these gloves.

Not pairs
Supposed to be twelve pairs. Actually 9 pairs and a further 6 left-hand gloves, all randomly jumbled up.

Great Gloves
These were a teeny bit small for me, which is perfect, as they stretch out slightly and are nice and tight for detail work. I use them for setting up and tearing down my drum kit, so I don't pinch my fingers in the stands and get sweaty marks all over my beautiful cymbals. They wear pretty well, but it is a balancing act between durability and stickiness, so I think they do pretty well. Also, they are washable.

Not the best
The QC is poor. The fingers are all wonky. They fit though and wear at an average rate.

Good all round grippy glove
Been using this particular brand for over 10 years for everything from gardening to working on the car and diy plus moving machinery at work. They give a bit of protection against abrasion and cuts but I would rather have the freedom these give rather than heavy duty gloves. What I like about these is you can still feel what you are handling and the grip is good.Longevity depends on use but for your average user I get a good couple of months out of each pair.

Good grip and protection from abrasion
I bought these to protect my hands while handling rubble I'm using for landscaping but I've ended up using them for gardening too as they're light and thin enough to maintain some feeling. They don't protect against thorns but because they're so fitting you can slip a pair of heavy duty gloves over the top for handling brambles and such. When chucking rough lumps of concrete around they last a few days before holing. When just gardening it seems like a pair could last a season. Either way for the price they're good value.
