Best designed door seal..Well happy
Just finished building my man-cave and I had kept the door gaps down to a minimum but in driving rain and wind the leaves and small puddles welcomed me every time I opened my double doors. Looked around the available floor seals and I am glad I decided to purchase this one. Yes there are slightly cheaper floor seals out there but they do not seal the door gaps as good as this one. If like me you compare the products before you buy you will have noticed the difference in the cross section shape between the cheaper floor seals and this one. The cheaper seal shape rise up then drops down equally so that you end up with a small wave shape. They should still keep the rain and leaves out (hopefully) with only a small radiused contact area against the square edge of your door. Compare that to this cross sectional shape and you will see it is a 'C' or a breaking wave that any dude would like to ride. The door contact area of this seal is not only the same as the cheaper design but the top end of the 'C' butts against the back of your door. So you get two contact areas with an air gap between each seal. No draughts, rain or leaves in even extreme. So warmer cave equals happier work times and wetter tonsils. This seal comes with adhesive and good instructions. The seal is hard to cut so watch yourself if using Stanley blades. I found a fine toothed hacksaw to cut it to length and trim/shape with knife but remember to always cut away from yourself and always measure twice!Once down it recommends you to not drive over it for 24 hours. I was a bit worried about the adhesive basically because I had just spent money on priming and painting the floor. You know how it is if it don't stick it will look a mess. Well the adhesive is fine and does the job well. I must admit there is too much glue if you followed as instruction but I went over the top and put it all down.Hopefully you understand my description. Sorry if you don't. I will say I don't sell or work for the seller or the manufacturer. I am just the guy next door, an engineer and someone who expects the best product I can afford.

Did The Trick
This product really does work. Have approx 5m wide garage door. Floor is somewhat uneven and within 30cm or so of door, drops sharply to the pavement level. Water ingress at the two outer edges was a constant problem. To level it off would have required a fair bit of work to lay new cement floor.Bought two of these steps, laid out or for length first, then cut to fit width. Made the score marks for the cuts around the shutter tracks (allowed for Stormguard to go in between tracks to butt up against wall).Instructions say lazy wave pattern for the adhesive (see instructions and it will make sense). Did that but water still got in underneath the raised unglued areas.Re applied adhesive but much tighter wave pattern and after it cured, using the adhesive, grouted the joint between the two lengths and the edges of the Stormguard the whole length of the inner and outer sides. Have had it down for several months with vehicle going over it twice a day and not a drop of water ingress to date.NB. Whilst the adhesive is not cured it can be removed quite easily with white spirit on a tissue or cloth. For the full 5m width to glue down and grout 5m inner and 5m outer edge, I only used about 3/4 of one tube of adhesive. This is black and comes in a tube exactly the same as bathroom silicon sealant, for use with a manual sealant gun or powered dispenser. The sealant can be used in multiple applications.

Well designed and works well
This is easy to fit. In my case it was going onto a concrete floor which had ripples in it, and the door was a roller shutter type. First I made the floor as level as possible by chipping off the high spots. Then lay the strip down and cut to length. Make sure the lip seats against the rubber seal on the bottom of the door. To do this, I went inside the garage and closed the door until it was almost shut, then pushed the strip until the lip was against the edge of the rubber strip on the bottom of the door. Mark the floor where the strip is. Clean the concrete, and then use the supplied sealant (you will need a dispensing gun for this) to put down a continuous bead in a zig-zag fashion (careful, this sealant is black will stick to anything that comes near it - fingers, trousers etc.) Lay the strip down and ensure it is aligned to the marks on the floor, and press down firmly. I then closed the door to ensure that the strip remained under pressure until it dried (24 hrs).Next day it had stuck, and it works very well - stops the water coming under the door into the garage.

A good seal for my garage
The seal arrived coiled in a box with a tube of glue. I left the rubber for a week or two uncoiled inside to flatten. It needed a little wedging at the end to tease the bend out of it.I installed on a cold sunny January day and it’s been there all good for 6 months. It’s worked very well and kept the driving rain out. There was ample glue. In fact I came back after a week or two and used the left over goo to seal the garage wall/floor joint and to add a bead on the inside edge of the rubber seal. I did this so I didn’t sweep dust and dirt under the seal when cleaning the garage.A great product!

Not great quality
I install Garage doors for a living, I’ve used similar ones like this often, the other ones I’ve fitted have the yellow strip as opposed to this white stripe, being tight on a budget on one of my doors I looked for money saving areas and these were roughly £10 cheaper than the yellow lined ones, after buying this I WOULD NEVER BUY AGAIN! The rubber is harder and because it’s been stored bent when you come to fit they lift up in areas, I had to put a length of wood ontop and used paint tins to weigh it down, then had to wait around whilst the glue went off! Other ones are far more flexible and just better quality. Always remember the moto, but cheap pay twice ! Luckily I got away with it this time but was just so annoying and such a faff for something that should of been so easy

Rubber seal was exactly what I was looking for but ...
Rubber seal was exactly what I was looking for but adhesive in package was hard as rock. When asked for replacement they said to send the entire package back at my cost. And they would send the entire package back out. It was easier and much cheaper for me to just go buy new adhesive.
