Microplane Gourmet Fine Grater

Brought as a gift as the other half loves cooking and wanted a fine grater.Easy to use, nice handle for gripping, sturdy and easy to wash! Definitely recommend!

This is sharp (do keep it in its sleeve!) so makes light work of even the hardest cheese. It grates in to a fine cloud of Parmesan - light and fluffy! The greater surface area is great for flavour.It is GREAT if you want to use less cheese - less of it goes a longer way because of how fine it is. If you are working to a recipe and need to hit a weight though, it's a pain. 10g in to my 100g mix of Pecirino/Parmesan for a recipe, I went back to my normal grater. I was getting so few grams for my effort with this!

Well made. Easy to use on your desired product & sharp enough to do hard nuts. The extra amount was worth it albeit I’ve nothing cheep to compare it to however definitely seems like a more luxury than the cheeper ones & does a good job

it's grate!!! perfect for parmessan, good for ginger and garlic too. Watch your fingers when you're cleaning it though

This was a replacement for a previous one which became blunt after 20 years of use. Perfect for zesting citrus or grating garlic or ginger.

I inherited an earlier model that is now about 15 years old. It is one with the plastic around the grater. A hairline crack has started to appear near the handle. I have used it almost every day for the last five years. The grater is still perfect. I mainly use it for garlic and ginger. I think this design is better with the non slip base and no plastic to crack and will last the rest of my life. Worth the little extra money from the one with the plastic which they still make.
