Redwood BB-TR150 Travelling Rug 170cm x 130cm Vinyl Waterproof Backing

I wasn't sure what quality this picnic blanket would be as it was so well-priced. I was pleasantly surprised to find that though it is bigger than the usual picnic blanket, it isn't too heavy. On the contrary, it's very light and easy to carry, especially as it has its own carry handle when rolled or folded up. There's a small flap with a velcro strip on that fastens the blanket into a portable roll.I haven't had this out in damp conditions, so don't yet know how it will perform under a sterner test, but in a light breeze in hot/dry conditions it kept its place reasonably well. If necessary I daresay you could peg it down, so perhaps fitting some metal eyelets would be a good idea. At 5 feet by 4, it's a decent size for a group to sit round or on, with all your picnic essentials in the middle, but I bought two as I generally go out in larger groups!All in all, this has so far been a good buy.

Initially I ordered this rug expecting it to be larger however, I received one that was smaller than the dimensions stated. After contacting the seller they reduced the cost of the rug due to this error - which I was more than pleased about. After using it several times for beach and grass picnics with a toddler, a baby and my husband we have found it a little on the thin side - we certainly do not recommend it for a pebble beach! The first time we used it I noticed several places where the material had become caught on something which had left unsightly threads hanging from it. It has survived so far and is very portable with its securing velcro and carrying handle - my toddler loves carrying it to the car and always knows that he is going to the beach or is having a picnic some where when it comes out and he becomes very excited! I recommend this rug for light or occasional use, if you are expecting to use this more frequently or for more heavy duty purposes do not purchase another product.

If these are extra large I dread to think how small an average sized rug would be! The rug is quite thin and does not seem very robust being similar to my previous rug that fell apart after a couple of years.However, the above said, I have got no less than I expected. I have purchased two (due to their so called extra large nature not being large enough in my eyes) and am happy that I have purchased a product that does what it was bought for and at a reasonable price... If you don't set your sights too high and accept you get what you pay for you will be happy :-)

Bought for a puppy who wees in the car and for the price it's perfectly adequate. It's not very robust but it does the job that I bought it for, which is not a picnic rug, and it can be rinsed easily in the washing machine. It has developed a few little tears in it as the backing is more of a sponge material. I wouldn't recommend it as a picnic rug unless you were on the beach as it is very thin.

Great travel or picnic rug. The waterproof coating is effective. If I had a criticism it feels a little thin - but what do you want for this price? Well worth it

I ordered this product due to it's larger than average dimensions, I was not disappointed at all. I needed a cheaper alternative for a little used end of our recently purchased 8 man tent. This blanket worked a treat it was a little on the thin side but as a insulating tool it worked brilliantly!Down side; wouldn't fold back up to original dimensions but then again what does.Recommend to all!!

I only recently bought this, and have only used it the once. It seems ok, though be warned you might get a different patterned Rug from the illustration above!. I bought it based on the Tartan pattern, but the one i received was nothing like it. In fact, it is rather Gaudy, with a mixture of Orange and Blue colours. So that is why im' only giving it four stars.

Fleecy tartan rug - nice patterned red material backed with a black polyamide layer. Bought as a boot liner / load cover and a good size so am pleased with it and warrants 4 stars for that, but not really heavy duty enough for a decent picnic blanket in my opinion - I certainly wouldn't want to sit on it on damp ground for any length of time
