Great product! Great quality
I purchased this kayak rack to transport my kayak safely and to prevent inadvertent damage to my water toy! It is very durable and solid! It looks very sleek and easy to install and remove. The functionality is great also. It can also carry other large items kayak-shaped, but I mainly use it for my kayak. The instructions were a bit ambiguous , but I was able to interpret them pretty good. Overall a great product and great bang for the buck!

Effective
The mounts themselves are pretty sturdy, not very easily put together, but once they are together, they work well. Please note the length of the straps provided are very short. The latches on the straps also slipped and we’re not usable for us at all. we use the mounts, but purchased sturdier stronger straps.

Racks are good, straps are okay
The racks themselves are great. It fits ok easier, it's easy to put together and use. There are included straps that are meh overall. They don't ratchet to tighten, but they seem to hold strong. I will be replacing them with better straps in the long run though.

If you want to spend all day cursing and not kayaking buy this
This kayak mount is garbage. We accidentally bought 1 and needed 2 and the first one was no longer available so we had to get this one. In comparison to the first one this one is a joke. First of all, the undermount brace is much more narrow than the top brace so it’s not as secure as the first one we bought. Also, the bolts are so long it’s almost impossible to get your fingers underneath to spin the bolts on to secure it. Finally, the straps that came with are not long enough to make it around the kayak so we had to buy 2 new ones. The only reason we are not returning it is because it took hours to install and we were set on going kayaking that day and did not want to wait to disassemble it and return it. Do not buy this piece of crap. Look for one where the top and bottom braces are the same size and make sure the straps are more than 8 feet long.

Easy and affordable
These were easy to assemble and install. I builtMy own rack for my truck so I was worried how well it would attach. It attached just fine over 1” square tubing. My only issue was it wanting to slide on the tube so I cut rubber pads and stuck in there and corrected the problem.

Works okay but the straps that came with it are to short
We had to get a second pair for our kayak and this one works exactly like the other one and is fairly simple to setup and put on the roof rack. The straps that were delivered with the product are way too short for a normal sized kayak (we got 10 foot kayaks of a name brand) and I had old straps that were long enough. Would not by this item again for that reason.

I can carry my 16 foot old town tandem kayak or much smaller 12 foot kayaks.
